Larry parents are immigrants from two football playing countries (Grenada and Trinidad), so he started playing as soon as he could walk.

Between his dad and his mom brothers the stage was set early for football development.

We talk through his journey from playing at a small club with amazing football but minimum resources, leaving the smaller club to play at one of the biggest clubs in the area, the differences he noticed playing in a top tier college program and a lower level college program, why it was difficult for him to adjust to life as a professional football player, how has life change since his team recently won the Dallas Cup and much more....

This is one of the most hilarious conversations we have had, Larry definitely has another career in comedy.

There are many lessons here for players, coaches, parents and scouts.

This week we speak to Kaiya McCullough!

Kai started playing around 5 years old and haven’t stopped since.

We walk through her journey coming from an athletic family with strong ties to UCLA sports, how she contributed to that legacy by having an illustrious career playing at UCLA, the differences between the level of play in the women game vs the professional leagues, why she views the soccer structure in America as racist and what she is doing to fix it.

Things got a little controversial with a discussion on the MLS.

The discussion on her approach to facing the challenges of finding her voice as an athlete is a must watch for young players and coaches.

Sheila football journey started in her birthplace of Uganda.  She really got into the game when her family emigrated to Boston.  As a young girl in Boston she really got into the game and began her playing career.

Sheila’s shared her experiences as a young Ugandan girl playing in an environment and on a team where no one looked like her.  The treatment she faced from coaches should be an eye opener for both coaches and parents.
