We are continuing with our series, What Does The Word Say? On this episode, we discussed a small word, but a Big time problem; Sin. Join us as we discuss Sin. Part 2 of this episode will follow.
Life is all about choices, and we make them everyday multiple times a day. Choices like what we will eat, what we will wear, where we will live, what type of job we will work, etc. But out of all the choices that we make, the most important choice that any of us can and will make is whether or not to put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and follow his commands. One of those commands tells us to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow him daily. Being that we are free moral agents, we have the ability to chose whether we will do it his way or our own way. Whenever we go against what he has said or told us to do, trouble always follows. Oftentimes because we've chosen to do things our way we end up crying to him to get us out of the situations that we've caused. This isn't something that we do sporadically, it's something that we often repeat. When will we learn that we Can't Keep Doing It Our Way? Join us for this candid discussion.
The Bible says that we walk by faith and not by sight. It also says that the just shall live by faith. It goes on to say that you only need faith the size of a mustard seed. It also says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. So with just these few excerpts of scriptures here, (and there are plenty more instances where the Bible speaks of faith) we see the importance of faith. And faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his redemptive work is the key to eternal life. However, while we go through this life, there are going to be instances where our faith is tested. I heard a preacher say that faith that can't be tested is faith that can't be trusted. So please be aware that there will be times when test will arise and you must decide as to whether you are going to have faith in Jesus to bring you through. We at For Such A Time As This often say that if one can get past the first four words in the Bible without any questions, that one should not have a problem with faith. Join us as we discuss this subject.
We hear words everyday. These words that we hear and digest shape and affect our life's in all types of ways. But out of all the words that we hear and say, the most important words that we can hear are those that come from God. So as you listen to others speak, don't forget to take time to hear what God has to say in His Word. Don't neglect God's Word.
This episode is our Mother's Day special. Join us as we talk about the debts of a Mother's Love.
Grief, if you haven't experienced it, just keep on living; it will show up. And when it does, the question is, how will you handle it? To be honest, you really don't know. Grief affects all of us differently. The level of grief that you experience is often times based upon the one that you're grieving over. There is grief for parents and grandparents, there is grief for spouses, there is grief for siblings, children, etc.. How one handles grief is personal. Don't ever let anyone tell you how to grieve for a person, or how long to grieve for a person because they don't know the totality of the relationship. But here, Paul tells us not to grieve as one who has no hope. Join us as we dive into this topic; How To Handle Grief.
