Welcome back to another episode of For the Creators, where it’s our job to demystify creativity. In these long form conversations, we tease out tips and tricks from all kinds of creatives whether they’re Musicians, Presenters, Actors, Directors, DJs, Writers, Entrepreneurs and everything in between.
In this episode, I sit down with Yinka Bokinni aka the one and only Yinkdaddy. Yinka is currently a presenter for Capital Xtra and Diet Coke, she is a TEDEx speaker, a blogger and her list of accolades go on and on. At such a young age and with so many achievements under her very fashionable belt, she is definitely a force to be reckoned with. But the best thing about Yinka in my opinion, is the fact that she swings to the beat of her own drum and is unapologetically herself 100% of the time.
During our conversation, she reminisced on what it was like growing up with 6 siblings, witnessing the impact of her neighbour Damilola Taylor’s death, studying law at university and how after hearing how much fun a Superdrug DJ was having whilst at work, made her want to become a presenter. Our conversation was filled with laughter, moments of reflection and too many motivational gems to count.
With Yinka’s talent, drive and confidence, I am sure that she hasn’t even begun to scratch the surface of her limitless potential. So, if you are an aspiring DJ, presenter or female boss, this episode is definitely for you.
So, without further ado, please enjoy my sit-down with Yinka Bokinni.

Welcome back to For The Creators, where it's our job to dissect creativity and the minds behind the things we love.
Today we have a snapshot episode, focusing on a London based community group called The Manhood Academy.
The MANHOOD ACADEMY for boys is a community based charitable programme committed to offering young men between the ages of 8 - 12 years (pre-teens), 13 – 19 years (teens) and 19 - 25 years, life-changing transformational workshops.
This programme is 100% focused on helping our young people (8-25year olds) make the challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood.
The unique ‘rites of passage’ programme is a fusion of mentoring and transformational coaching encompassing:
* Transformative workshops.
* Mentoring - which includes ensuring our young leaders receive intensive one-to-one life coaching and support from volunteers and coaches.
* A life changing ‘Coming of Age’ rites of passage ceremony.
Today we sit down with Brother Khonsu, one of 8 founders of The Manhood Academy and we discuss how the organisation was created, what positive impact it is having in a time when it is clearly needed and what is in store for the future. We even explore the parallels of the Black Panther character Killmonger and how his story relates to young men in todays society.
This episode is truly special and is one to play for your dad, brother, son, nephew and friends who will no doubt find something inspirational and actionable from this episode.

Today we jump into a snapshot with Keaton Rich, a photographer and creative art director who is steadily on the rise. Having taken candid shots for the likes of Stormzy, J Hus, Lewis Hamilton, Anne Marie and being the all round art director for newcomer Mullaly, Keaton has made a huge mark in his relatively short career.
This episode we go deep into photography and deeper issues that creatives can face, how do you deal with sudden loss and where does that take you as a creator? Keaton tells you how he has done it with his incredibly moving story.
