  • Interview: Dr. Ben Edwards on Covid-19, Vaccine theory, and the Four Pillars of Health (part 2)

This Wednesday I have the pleasure of continuing my interview with brother Dr. Ben Edwards. Dr. Edwards M.D is a practicing physician at Veritas Medical with locations on the west side of Texas. He is the proprietor of the "You're the Cure" podcast/radio program and graduated from UT-Houston medical school. He started off as a conventional doctor but changed his mind after a life experience that left him clueless as to the current medical system. Our conversation was enlightening and fascinating on so many levels. It was amazing to have this podcast and have the opportunity to interact with him personally as the interviewer. I hope you enjoy the episode and the truth conveyed there within.

  • The Gospel & Adoption as Sons

Continuing on our Gospel Foundations series Bryce and I delve into the idea of God adopting us as his sons. The sons receive the inheritance and if we want to inherit God's blessings then we ought to hope that he would choose us and adopt us as his sons. What a wonderful foundational gospel truth we can always remember when alone, without family, and in despair. We have a father that loves us if you are in Christ. If not, his patience will not last forever. Thanks for tuning in and listening!

    Key Texts:

    Galatians 4:3-7; Ephesians 1:1-6

My guest joining me this week on the Sunday series is my brother Bryce. Bryce is getting his undergraduate degree in philosophy and hopes to get his MDiv. from a seminary after he completes his undergrad. He hopes to be a pastor shepherding Gods people one day.

  • The Gospel, Faith & Repentance

Merry Christmas! Bryce and I continue in our series on Gospel foundations. This week the foundational principle to the gospel is faith coupled with repentance. Last Sunday we talked about faith being the conduit by which we enter into Christ's righteousness. This can be thought of as mere faith, however, this week we want to walk more fully through the nature of faith and how repentance plays an intimate role in every act of faith. Thanks for listening!

    Key Texts:

    • 1 Thessalonians 1:9
    • Mark 1:14-15
    • Psalm 7:12-13

    • The Gospel & Faith-Based Righteousness

The prior week to this episode we walked through the great transaction known as double imputation. One may ask after hearing that Jesus has fulfilled the law and that we can receive that righteousness that comes through fulfilling that law through double imputation, how can I enter into that great transaction? The answer is through faith but as with any theological truth, we could always go deeper than the mere answer. Tune in and listen to Bryce and I flesh out yet another foundation of the gospel that we so cherish.

      • Canada's Bill C-4 / The Church and Covid-19

This episode I walk through Canada's new horrific bill that has royal ascent and to be put into legislation 30 days after that ascent. The bill criminalized up to 5 years in prison for forcing any individual to undergo conversion therapy (in other words counseled in a biblical worldview of human sexuality). You can also be imprisoned for up to 2 years for just advertising the practice. After that I walk though one of Joe Rogan's recent guests, Peter A. McCullough and his clinical expertise on how the nation has reacted to Covid-19 and his claim that the church along with the rest of the world has undergone a mass psychosis similar to that in cults and Nazi Germany.

        Key Texts: Daniel 7:13-14; Romans 1; 1 Peter 2; Romans 13

      • The Gospel & the Great Transaction

Last week Bryce and I walked through how Jesus has fulfilled the law in all righteousness in his obedient life on earth. Jesus was without sin, yet we are with sin as laid out in our episode "Our fall and the Gospel". So, how can we ever hope to achieve a foreign righteousness that is not our own? The bible lays out a clear mechanism by which we can receive Christ's righteousness and lose our guilt of sin that we have procured for ourselves. That idea has been named in theology as double imputation. Tune in as Bryce and I walk though this biblical mechanism that is foundational to the gospel! Thanks for listening.

        Key texts:

        • Hebrews 10:12-14
        • 2 Corinthians 5:21

        • The Gospel & Fulfillment of the Law

An apology is due to you listeners as I have been negligent to upload the past two weeks. I have just been married and have been on a honeymoon and moving into our new house so I hope you can forgive me! Last time on the Sunday series, we spoke about the law and the gospel and how we ought to think about the two together. Building on that episode we walk through how foundational to the gospel is the understanding that the law that we have transgressed, Christ has completely followed and fulfilled in his obedient life, obedience even unto the cross that he died on. This is a foundational truth to the gospel, Christ must have kept the law that we broke for there to be any hope in the gospel.

          Key Texts:

          • Matthew 3:15
          • Matthew 5:17-19

          • Law & Gospel

Many think that we are now no longer "under the law" but under Christ in the gospel. While this is partly true it reeks of antinomianism. Lets not fall into this trap of thinking that just because we are in Christ that we no longer need God's law or want God's law. God's law is refreshing reviving the soul. It is to be delighted in because it is good and shows us the very nature of God himself. While it no longer condemns us in Christ it is our standard of holiness to walk in through the spirit. The law & the Gospel are intimately connected, let us not forget this!

Psalm 1: "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in he way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night."

Key Texts: Romans 3:20; Galatians 3:23-25
