Your host, Lucy & Cindy, decided to review the remaining Truly, Devious Series by Maureen Johnson. We're talking about The Vanishing Stair, The Hand on the Wall, The Box in the Woods, and Nine Liars--all in one episode! Exciting!

Your eccentric hosts, Lucy & Cindy, are longtime fans of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward, and this episode is dedicated to the brother who's never had his own story but is the series' foundational character: Darius. Mixed feelings are voiced, but it doesn't mean bad. It's good to have strong mixed feelings about a long-time favorite book series: it keeps its readers on their toes.

It was a page-turn for them! They highly recommend the book and the entire series! If you're a fan of Harry Potter and Netflix's Wednesday, you'll find something likable and entertaining about this series.

Your Host, Lucy and Cindy, discuss Once Upon A K-Prom by Kat Cho. The cover will convince you it is worth picking up and reading. However, it doesn't hit well with all audiences. Even though Cindy is a K-Drama fan and Lucy is still exploring the genre, they both found fails in it. Listen to their critique and judge for yourselves. Are they wrong? Maybe....maybe not.

On this episode of For the Love of Books Podcast, your hour Lucy and Cindy found and explore an young adults vampire romance--predating the horrible Twilight fandom phase some of us went through. Warning: we do dump on Twilight. We agree it's a slight cross between Princess Diaries and Vampires. We both enjoy the male protagonist, Lucius (great name!), and relate to Jessica, the main female character's rise to her true self. Hope you all enjoy!

It is definitely thrilling which is the reason why it captured both hosts' attention, even though both of them aren't major fans of this genre. Be advised: your hosts do spoil the ending for their listeners (sorry!).

Sylvain Reynar's The Man in the Black Suit. Set in Paris, France with its share of international travel, renowned art, mysterious past, and a developing love story--it is hard to put this book down until you're done. Readers will definitely enjoy and marvel from it.
