ATH battles a horse voice and tech difficulties but pushes through like a champ. Starts off with a quick few thoughts on the NY Football (which is a mess) (1:39) and why Josh Allen is this years NFL MVP (4:58). Then he transitions to some thoughts on the NY Knicks- Knicks fans stop being nervous about Mikal Bridges (6:56), a quick note on this year's NBA rookie class (12:05) and why I shouldn't attend Knicks games in person anymore (14:25). Then he brings on a recurring guest to discuss the state of the NY Rangers (16:36).
A jam packed episode; ATH starts the show with some thoughts on the Yankees losing to the Dodgers in the World Series (2:07) and why the Game 5 loss was a HOF NY sports playoff loss and now its a very important offseason for them. A quick thought on the NY Knicks (8:15) and a bit of around the NBA (9:29). Then ATH brings on 2 recurring guests: 1 to talk midway point of the NFL season (14:45) and one to give a post mortem on the NY Yankees (1:12:16).
The NY Yankees are back in the World Series!!!! (1:38) and ATH feels pretty good about it and he gives the NY Mets some love for their awesome season (3:32). Knicks season opener is here and the Rangers are good (6:08) but NY football is the turd in the punch bowl for NY sports (6:37)- Daniel Jones is the worst starting QB in the NFL and the NY Jets are the biggest embarrassment in all of pro sports. Then ATH brings on a recurring guest to preview the World Series (14:51).
NY Sports are having a moment right now (1:42) with the 2 baseball locals in the ALCS and NLCS, 2 primetime Football games in week 6; big spot light on NY sports right now. A few small notes on the NFL and then part 2, breaking down the Western Conference, Over/Unders with a recurring guest (8:28).
October is a PACKED sports month and ATH is ready for Rangers and NBA season to start. Baseball is having a major moment right now; the playoffs have been excellent (3:05) and there have been interesting series all over the place. Some quick thoughts regarding the NFL (6:05) and the NY Jets firing Robert Saleh, while the Giants may be more competent than people think (the level of play across the league has improved too). A quick update on the Rangers entering their season (11:38) and then ATH brings on a recurring guest to preview the NBA's Eastern Conference and going through the Over/Unders (12:42).
The NY Knicks made a trade; ATH gives his thoughts and then brings on a recurring guest to KAT to the Knicks and a little about the NY Yankees.
ATH gives updates on the state of NY football after week 3 (1:41); Aaron Rodgers looked good and Malik Nabers is a star and other NFL thoughts around the league including major love for Sean McVay and Matt Stafford (11:35) and the NFL as a whole still puts out a lousy product week after week. Then he switches the vibe up to talk NY Baseball. First a segment on the Mets (19:30) and then one on the NY Yankees (53:22).
ATH starts off with a little US Open recap (1:53) and how the American men are having a moment and maybe it's the time Novak Djokovic moves to another stage of his career. Then he talks about NFL opening weekend and how majority of it was bad (and a few reasons why the NFL product sucks early on) (4:35); oh and the NY Giants stink in a big way and he's had it with Daniel Jones and Joe Schoen (9:29) and a quick thought on the NY Jets week 1 loss in San Francisco (15:55). He then brings on a recurring guest to discuss the college football landscape and a bit on his NY Jets (17:43).
Sad opening to the show; was a tough weekend in that respect (1:46). Not a typical ATH monologue to start the show. The world needs a distraction and that is what we will do talking about the upcoming NY Giants season and the NFC at large with a recurring guest (6:19).
Ramp up to football continues but first ATH finally gets to talk about Team USA Basketball's gold medal game and Steph Curry's performance (2:25) and more praise for Victor Wembanyama (5:55). He also salutes Aaron Judge for being the fastest player to hit 300 career Home Runs (7:06). He then continues his NFL preview by previewing the AFC with a recurring guest (9:17).
