For Your Consideration

"If you run, the beast catches you; if you stay, the beast eats you."

Fifteen miles from paradise lies the City of God and it is divided. Anyone living in the Rio de Janeiro slum is considered a hoodlum and life is violent and cheap. In this podcast based on a true story your hosts, Mike and Dustin, infiltrate a gang war between two rival crime lords to record a podcast and tell a story the world needs to hear. Will the 2002 critically acclaimed crime-drama, City of God, cut the classic mustard? Check out the show and let us know what you thought of the final verdict.

The very first episode! More of a proto-episode, actually, since no actual movies are discussed, but Dustin and Mike do take a little time to introduce themselves, break down the For Your Consideration mission statement, and get the ball rolling.

In this short intro podcast we talk a little about the origins of the show, what we hope to accomplish with it, and what our criteria will be as we go forward, watching and analyzing these classic films to see if they really do warrant inclusion on the 'greatest films of all time' lists.
