Both Reuters and CNBC said the company, which lets users send disappearing photosand recently changed its name to Snap Inc., had begun the process of going public. A spokesperson for Snapchat declined to comment. AnIPO by Snapchat is highly anticipated and is expected toraise as much as $4 billion.

When I teach people how to interview job applicants, I ask them to think about times when they’ve hireda plumber or an electrician. We would never ask a plumber “What’s your greatest weakness?” We give plumbers and electricians a lot more respect than we give job-seekers.
