You’re reaching out to former colleagues to let them know you’re quietly looking. You’re putting down a wish list of places to work. You’re landing interviews and going back for second and third rounds. You’re asking for advice from friends, family, and mentors about what you should do next.

Less than a month after Senator Elizabeth Warren called for his head, embattled Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf is out. Wells Fargo announced Wednesday evening that Stumpf is retiring, effective immediately. Tim Sloan, Wells Fargo’s current president and chief operating officer, will succeed Stumpf as CEO. Stephen Sanger, the bank’s lead director, has been chosen to serve as the board’s non-executive chairman.

It’s because of collective bargaining and worker protests that some work forces today enjoy the right to argue for wage increases, access affordable healthcare, and improved working conditions within the workplace among many other achievements.

Her direct reports responded well, and her team was diligent and productive. But when things weren’t going smoothly – projects behind schedule, budgets squeezed, her own management not fully pleased and she felt under pressure – her management style changed considerably.

I love the cheap cost of living, the fact that I can leave my front door unlocked without worrying and that I can almost never run to the grocery store without crossing paths with someone I know.

To others, this can come across as being timid or that you are unsure of yourself. Do you want to demonstrate your confidence and leadership and introduce yourself like a boss? Do not do these three things when networking: 1. Don’t say, “Hi. My name is…” Leaders introduce themselves, not their names.

This is a message to those of you sitting in your office right now (or faking jury duty for the third time) wishing you worked somewhere, or for someone, else. At the very least, you’re wondering if you’re in the right role, at the right company or doing the right thing with your life and your career. We all see the social media posts demanding you do more, bigger, better things with your life. Pluck bits and pieces of wisdom from podcasts from the Tim Ferris’ of the world.

If you keep tabs on employment trends – as I do – it’s impossible to ignore the fact that employees are taking a hard line when it comes to what they want in a workplace. One area where most seem to be in agreement – especially Millennial and Generation Z workers – is in the rigidity (or lack thereof) of their schedules. Modern employees simply do not want to adhere to a 9 to 5 schedule, as their parents and grandparents once did.

A lot of the rules are the same between work and school. You can’t be late. You have to do your work and be quiet.
