Speculation is rampant about Twitter potentially being acquired in the upcoming weeks, leading to the company’s stock rising over 20% in the last four trading days. Its prospective buyers currently include Salesforce , Disney and Alphabet . News of Salesforce being interested in acquiring the social media platform did not go over particularly well with investors, resulting in the stock slipping 6% to about $70 on Friday.

Dear Liz, I took over as Executive Director of a struggling not-for-profit agency at the end of  last year. I have four full-time staff members and two part-timers. I’m pleased that our agency is in now in the black but it’s still an uphill battle, and when I am hiring, it is imperative that I get the right person into the job.

Ready4, a Boston-based company that creates test prep apps, today released its second annual list of the most desired business schools around the world. It surveyed over 250,000 prospective MBA students from 195 countries and asked them to name the top 10 schools they’d like to attend. Harvard and Stanford held onto their first and second-place spots from last year, while Wharton moved up two positions to become the third-most desired program.

Dear Liz, I am in my first “real” management job after working as a Team Leader for two years. I liked being a Team Leader. I got to coach and help people in that job without having to deal with issues like discipline and termination. In my new job I will write performance reviews, put people on Performance Plans and deal with “heavier” management situations than I’ve worked on before.

When I was a newbie HR person back in the nineteen-eighties, all the workplace pundits were predicting enormous changes in the working world. Those changes are now coming to pass. We are all entrepreneurs now, but most working people have not stepped out of the old mindset into a new one better suited to the new-millennium workplace.

With millennials representing more than one-third of the American workforce, managers and executives look for ways to lead them well. The internet is full of advice on how to lead millennials. In fact, a Google search for “how to lead millennials” yields 37.1 million results. And some of those articles are from “millennial experts,” a search that yields 711,000 results on Google.
