Force Ghost Coast to Coast

Matt and Brian welcome Zach of the DC3cast/Multiversity Manga Club to join them for a discussion of the final arc of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Topics discussed include: Mace Windu's consistent dickery, the tragedy of Maul, and how Ahsoka belongs in the highest pantheon of Star Wars characters.

Join Liz, Matt, and Brian as they journey back to the first ever Star Wars original novel, Splinter of the Mind's Eye by Alan Dean Foster. Discussions include: similarities to Zoolander, some real problematic Leia stuff, Foster's interesting linguistic choices, and why there was no space battles or Han Solo in the novel.

During social distancing, Liz has now completed the second season of The Clone Wars, and she discusses it with Matt and Brian. Topics discussed include: bounty hunters, Jedi love, and, shockingly, the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.

You can watch the VMAs sketch in question here.

We will return in 2 weeks with a discussion of Splinter of the Mind's Eye, the first Star Wars novel.

This week, we present a special bonus episode, where Brian asks Liz and Matt the hardest question in the galaxy. What's the question? Well, you've just got to listen to find out.

This week, we dig into the music of Star Wars, highlighting favorite pieces from the original, prequel, and sequel films, as well as the stand alone 'anthology' films, The Clone Wars, Rebels, and The Mandalorian. Come for the well known anthems, stay for [checks notes] "Chicken in the Pot?"

Liz took advantage of some social distancing and watched the first season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Brian and Matt had lots of questions for her. Plus, the crew reacts to the report that Rosario Dawson was playing her on The Mandalorian Season 2.

This week, Matt and Brian look at the first three episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7, which are repurposed from unfinished story reels released back in 2015. They discuss the trailer versus the reality, the improved animation, and the unfortunate reality of 1/3 of the season being old material.

Liz, Matt, and Brian dig into the manga adaptation of The Legends of Luke Skywalker. Topics discussed include: droid face, bad facial hair, and who in the galaxy would tell a story about a flea.

This week, Liz, Matt, and Brian look back on The Rise of Skywalker two months after its release to see if our opinions have changed much. We also look to the future of the 'new' trio of characters, and where we may see new tales from this timeframe pop up.

In our first episode of 2020, Liz, Matt, and Brian recap the first season of The Mandalorian.

Topics discussed include:

• all those guest stars!
• Baby Yoda supplanting Porgs in Matt's heart
• IG-11's dope existence and tragic demise
• what we want from Season Two.
