  • Trust An Unknown Future To A Known God

We would love to hear from you via text.

Message from 22/03/2020 by Nicolene Du Plessis

Christians are called believers, but many times, we are more like unbelieving believers. We trust our friends, the bank, the stock market or the government more than we trust God and His Word.
In John 15:5, Jesus says that apart from Him, we can do nothing. We need to lean on Him for help with everything in our lives.

What is trust: DEFINITION OF TRUST

1 a: assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something
b: one in which confidence is placed
c: confident expectation of something; hope.

The words translated “trust” in the Bible literally mean “a bold, confident, sure security or action based on that security.”
Trust is not exactly the same as faith, which is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). Rather, trusting is what we do because of the faith we have been given.

    God is:

    • ALL KNOWING & EVERYWHERE AND FULLY SOVEREIGN IN CONTROL.
    • HE NEVER CHANGES, HE IS ALL POWERFUL, HE IS WISE, FAITHFUL,
    • He is Good –kind and Full of Good Will,
    • God Is Just – Right and Perfect in All He Does,
    • God Is Merciful – Compassionate and Kind
    • God Is Gracious, compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love. –  Inclined to Spare the Guilty,
    • God Is Holy & Perfect
    • HE IS YOUR HEALER, PROVIDER AND ON YOUR SIDE

TRUST IS ONLY POSSIBLE WHEN I REALIZE HE LOVES ME – FROM THAT POINT FEAR IS CAST OUT.

    Prov 3:5
    Mark 2 – 6-8
    Luke 16:13
    2 Corinthians 5:7
    Psalm 118:8
    James 4:7
    Philippians 4:6-9

    Results of Trust:

    • Joy and Peace
    • Removed obstacles and a clear way
    • Good Health

    Grahame cook:

“I have seen beauty and extreme loving kindness. I have been to hell and prospered because He held my hand. I have lost everything and thrived. I have been in the valley of the shadow and lost all fear. I have been on the mountain, bathed in a light so strong I thought I would dissolve in happiness.

In the depths of humiliation and embarrassment, crushed by my own stupidity and inadequacy, he showed me a grace so amazing it brought healing to my soul. He taught me how to find kindness everywhere, and the fun in being patient. His love leaves me awestruck with gratitude. In all these encounters, every event of my life has been about his primary purpose in making me in his image. “

  • Why you need church. (Foresight Forward - Gear 1 Launch)

We would love to hear from you via text.

Message from 15/03/2020 by: Chris Zeelie

The purpose of the church is to help people fulfill God’s purposes for their lives.

    The reason for everything:

    1. Everything starts with God and His Supremacy! (Col 1:16)
    2. God is love. (1 Jn 4:7-8)
    3. God loves you and gave you a spiritual family. (Eph 3:14-15)
    4. God’s family is the church. (1 Timothy 3:15)
    5. God’s family will last forever, outlasting everything else in creation. (Titus 1:2)
    6. Although God created us last, he thought of us first.  He planned the Universe for his family.  (Is 44:2)
    7. THE CHURCH is God’s plan. (Eph 3:9-11)
    8. Jesus makes the whole plan possible. (Eph 1:11-12)
    9. The time is getting close. (Mat 24:14)
    10. In the meantime, we can practice for eternity. (Titus 2: 12-13)

  • Everyone becomes a leader

We would love to hear from you via text.

Message from 08/03/2020 by guest Brent Brading

What if God did what you were praying for? (Acts 2 – church went from 120 -3000 suddenly).

Are you willing to put your hand up and lead? Harvest means that everyone must do their part.

Jesus leads us and we lead those around us. (Psalm 23)

We reflect the revelation we have of God/Jesus to the people around us. (E.g. people carry/reflect bitterness because they have not got a revelation of God’s forgiveness. If we lack patience, we have not fully got a revelation of God’s patience with us.)

    Resources follow revelation.

    Jesus leaders:

    1. Jesus leaders Serve (serve as sons and daughter) - Mark 10: 42-45.
    2. Jesus leaders are humble (Phil 2: 3-11)
    3. Jesus leaders are available
    4. Jesus leaders are welcoming
    5. Jesus leaders are forgiving
    6. Jesus leader pursue holiness (Psalm 29:2 – purity)
    7. Jesus leaders walk with the holy spirit
    8. Jesus leaders are obedient (We glorify Him by doing stuff with Him not for Him)

  • Hurry Up and Wait

We would love to hear from you via text.

Message from 01/03/2020 by Dewald Du Plessis

“Waiting on the Lord is the opposite of running ahead of the Lord, and it’s the opposite of bailing out on the Lord,” writes John Piper. “It’s staying at your appointed place while he says stay, or it’s going at His appointed pace while he says go."

We have the choice, then, to take a deep breath, release our clenched hands, and let God be God. And we are invited to continue hoping in his greatness.

    2 WAYS TO WAIT:

    1. PASSIVELY: Taking a back-seat and not co-laboring with God.  Sitting back and waiting for the call/breakthrough/promise to drop into your lap.  Often comes from disappointment and leads to not actively participating in current season.
    2. ACTIVELY: Anticipation and expectation and being faithful to steward the prophetic word or call on your life.  Serving faithfully.  (Pregnant woman gets nursery ready and buys clothes for baby) in the labour she has to intensely focus – in waiting we need to be ALL IN and INTENSELY FOCUSED.

GOD’S WAITING PERIODS ARE PREPARATION PERIODS.

We often want Him to do something FOR US when He wants to do something THROUGH US.

We are often not ready for the solution - Our gifts and callings can often take us to where I character cannot sustain us.

We choose BAIL OUT: Mindset: “God you did not come through for me, therefore I will not do anything until you do.”

Or we choose - RUNNING AHEAD: Mindset: “God your not doing what I asked, I’m just going to do it myself.”

    WAITING BENEFITS:

    1. Renews our strength (Is 40:31)
    2. Establishes security (Psalm 40: 2)
    3. Reveals heart motives
    4. Transforms our character

WHAT TO DO IN THE WAITING:

    1. Pray – stay in communication and intimacy with God.
    2. Don’t strive (pushing in your own strength and running ahead in independence)
    3. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
    4. Believe, Bow, worship

  • Hearing God's Voice

We would love to hear from you via text.

Message from 23/02/20 by Bruwer Malan

You need to position yourself to hear God:

    Pattie – Willingness - Is 1:19-20
    Lettuce – Crispy personality –
    Prov 20:27
Bacon – Planted in the church –
    John 15: 5-8
    Sauce – Community –
    Rom 12:16
    Cheese – Joy –
    Jonah 1:17-2:10

    Position yourself:

Samuel was in the temple, Peter was in the upperoom, Moses was at the bush and later Pharaoh & Mary was at Jesus’s feet – Luke 10-38-42

  • Sticking with God's Original Plan

We would love to hear from you via text.

Message from 16/02/20 by Kenny Le Roux (Guest speaker)

    OUTLINE OF THEME:

Let your kingdom come – let your will be done – on earth as it is in heaven - It is God’s plan that we bring heaven to earth and walk in the authority He has given us. “As my father sends me, I am sending you.”

God is delighted in His creation and has a purpose for every believer. This plan is accomplished through every saint sticking up their hand. We are all given gifts to build up the church and make it strong. Caring for the poor, rejoicing with the rich are expressions of “let heaven come to earth”

WE CAN’T LIVE IN THEORY, RITUAL OR ROUTINES – WE NEED TO SEE THE KINGDOM MANIFEST. We can look for evidence of Heaven manifesting in our prayers and pray persistent prayers till there is victory.  Push through, keep trusting God.

UNITY & Diversity.  We all have similar assignments that are done differently but are pleasing to the Lord. (Gen: 1:28 - Subdue is a military term: it means to TAKE GROUND)

THE ENEMY IS OUT TO BLUR THE IMAGE OF GOD. God’s plan is destroyed and diluted when we add to it little by little and move away from what God originally intended. Embrace and understand the original plan to be worked out. When we move away from the plan Robots and Rebels are created – be yourself – Unity comes by the Spirit. (Eph 4:3) You side with the devil when you DIVIDE.

Message from 09/02/2020 by Chris Zeelie

    •  Exodus 33. The Israelites build a golden calf
    •  Presumption of the Word pushes us away from God
    •  We sometimes put God in a mold / box just like the Israelites did
    •  Psalm 19:2-13 Willful in this scripture also means presumption
    •  Exodus 33:1 Moses spoke face to face with God
    •  Do you know God that well that you can call on him and his favour for you?
    •  Do you know you have an audience with God?
    •  Without the presence of God we are just like people of the world
    •  Have you met God or just believe what you have heard about him?
    •  Hebrews 12:18-28 God wants to be more present in your life than he was with Moses!

  • Consecrate Yourself for the Presence of God

We would love to hear from you via text.

Holiness is the condition of being “set apart”.

    1. Set apart from the world
    2. Set apart for God

Consecration is an intentional and conscious process of personal holiness:

    1. “I set myself apart from...”
    2. “I set myself apart unto the purposes of God.”

Sanctification is a work of the Spirit to clean me up once I set myself apart.

    1Peter1:15-16

“But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy because I am holy.’”

    STAGE 1:

    Exodus 33 from verse 1 to 10.

Moses has spent 40 days in the tangible manifest presence of God.

He comes down from Sinai to find the Israelites worshiping a golden calf that had been handcrafted by Aaron:

    Ex32;4

“He took what they handed him and made it into an idol, cast in the shape of a calf, and fashioned it with a tool.”

Aaron led the people astray because he was a people-pleaser. (Gal1:10)

    Aaron says:

“I threw the gold into the fire, and out came a calf.” A blatant lie.

    1. Idols take time to build in our lives
    2. Idols are intentionally erected
    3. Idols are crafted with much dedication
    4. Idols cost us money.

Moses calls out “Whoever is for the Lord, join with me.”

They get sent to slay brother and neighbor and friend.

    Ex32:29

“You have been set apart (holy) to the Lord today because you were against your own sons and brothers, and He has blessed you this day.”

    STAGE 2: God responds!

    Reading EX33:1-10

God sends a plague and many die.

    Psalm 39:11

“When you rebuke and discipline anyone for their sin, you consume their wealth like a moth...”

    1. God is holy
    2. A Holy God does not cohabit with sin - sin separates us from God. “I will not go with you...”
    3. God punishes sin. Sin is contagious. “If I go with you I might destroy all of you...”
    4. The wages of sin is death
    5. Even in the OT, God makes a way. “I will send my angel ahead of you...”
    6. God always fulfills His promises.

    James 4:8

STAGE 3: MOSES RESPONDS TO GOD

    Ex33:11 onwards

    1. Moses goes to God
    2. Moses meets with Jesus face-to-face as a man meets with a friend.
    3. It was an intentional 2km walk to the Tent of Meeting.

We need to meet with God.

How do we meet with God?

    1. It is intentional, not accidental.
    2. Turn your back on the world and leave the camp
    3. Draw near to God
    4. Meet with the Trinity:

    * Holy Spirit ( the cloud at the entrance)
    * Jesus (face-to-face)
    * Father (cannot see His face)

    Questions:

    1. How can I move forward in setting myself apart for God’s plan?
    2.  Are there things in my life that are displeasing to God?
    3.  What things do you do to spend time with God?
    4.  What things can we put in place to live in the conscious manifest presence of God?

Message on 26/01/20 by Marc Van Wyk

    • A seed has purpose, but will remain dormant unless you take action
    • For the potential to be unleashed, it needs to be planted, and then needs to die.
    • P.A.R. = Purpose, Action, Release
    • A purpose will always fulfill a need
    • Beatitudes (blessed = prosperous and happy)
    • To harvest a specific seed, you need to sow that specific seed
    • Fruit of the Spirit - It's already inside of you
    • Fruit comes from seed so get the fruit by sowing the seeds
    • Sowing is a spiritual principle which requires physical action

(If you are lonely... pray for the lonely.
If you are sick... pray for the sick.
Sow the seeds you want to harvest in you own life!)
