With the results of Everton's appeal against their 10 points deduction expected in the next few weeks, news has come out today that the Premier League is looking to change their PSR rules. Everton have now been charged with two breaches of PSR and Nottingham Forest have one breach, with the results of these charges to be announced before April 7th.

The changes the Premier League are looking to introduce are to align their regulation with the current UEFA Financial Fair Play guidelines, which take in to consideration a clubs total revenue, with clubs allowed to spend up to 70% of this amount.

So as an example Under UEFA's current FFP rules, if your turnover is £500m per year, you would be allowed to spend 70 per cent of that - £350m per year - on player costs. So the more your clubs makes in revenue, the more they can spend on transfers, therefore the bigger clubs who have more money coming in, will have the advantage over all the smaller teams.
