Patriarchy is a term that makes most Americans uncomfortable. Feminism has convinced our culture that all patriarchies are oppressive and evil. However, there is a group of pastors and commentators making a point to reclaim the term biblical patriarchy. On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will be joined by Michael Clary to discuss biblical patriarchy, what it is and what it isn’t, how it differs from complementarianism, and common misunderstandings surrounding the phrase. We’ll also respond and react to a recent tweet from Owen Strachan that condemned men who wish to dominate their wives. All this and more so stick around
With the rise of paganism taking in root in public schools, many faithful parents are looking for alternatives to educating their kids. On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will be joined by Nick Duncan to discuss classical christian education and why it’s an important option for parents to deeply consider.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard by now that there is unrest all across American universities as pro-palestine protestors have taken over multiple campus properties to signify their opposition to Israel. In response to this, house republicans took it upon themselves to pass a new anti-semitism bill in an effort to show solidarity with Israel. However, the bill is a giant assault upon the first amendment and may have made parts of the bible outlawed. On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will be joined by Bryce Eddy to talk about this awful bill as well as how we should handle these college protests.
Over the weekend Politico ran a story condemning the right's "obsession" with having babies confirming once and for all that desiring a family is now officially right wing. Where does this baby making obsession come from? It may have to do with the fact that the US fertility rate hit an all time low of 1.6 children per woman in 2023, well below the 2.1 child per woman replacement rate. Young people are opting out of the American dream and family creation all together. On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will be joined by Terry Schilling of the American Principles Project to discuss whether or not the family unit can be preserved for the next generation of Americans.
With all the chatter surrounding Donald Trump's recent abortion comment, many on the right have been lamenting the fact that we don't have a true abortion abolitionist on the ballot this November. However, today I have the privilege of interviewing Joshua Smith, a self identified abolitionist running in the Libertarian Presidential primary proving that abolitionists do in fact have an option on the ballot. Today I hope to ask Joshua questions about his candidacy and how he would hope to govern on numerous topics.
It's no secret that Hollywood is know for it's secrets, but its not often we get to speak with someone who has worked on the inside of that industry. On this episode of Forge and Anvil I will be joined by Lisabeth Lange to discuss Hollywood narratives and her new fictional book that hold a lot of real world truths about how media impacts us all.
