St. Francis de Sales warns us not to waste our lives chasing imaginary callings or future ambitions. In this video, we break down how he teaches us to focus our energy on the duties God has actually placed before us. "We are apt to fight African monsters in imagination, while we let very petty foes vanquish us in reality for want of due heed." God, and our vocation, is found in the present moment—not in the distant future.DM me if you want to discuss this further or need some guidance.
God is calling men to the front lines. Not the sidelines. Step up. We've got to fight.
Weaving together various ideas here discussing the redemptive power of Christ's Passion, and how we as individual members of the Church can unite and offer our suffering through him.
People tend to look at the 'discipline' and 'grind' culture online or in fitness circles as a bit cringey or intense - it's true, we shouldn't idolise it. But the reality is it's the time tested way to grow in virtue and stay on the straight and narrow path. Discipline is a harsh master, but it's the only way to true freedom. Freedom from the world and the flesh. Stay disciplined. Stay on the path.
Virtue is it's own reward. The Path of Nothingness. Nothing but God.
Took me a while to get to the point but hopefully you got it.
Hard topic to do on the move. There's a lot to it. Might even make a follow up one.
