I’ve been thinking about this ever since I started, no, even before I started university. The collapse of real education, what “university” used to mean, and why modern colleges have become places that just 'extend adolescence.' With Jacob Imam's help, I started to break down what true education really looks like. P.S: Yes, I believe university is a scam, for the most part, but I'm definitely not against it. I am also currently enrolled in a degree through Holy Apostles College & Seminary.
For 10 years, teacher Marisol Arroyo-Castro kept a small crucifix by her desk as a quiet reminder to pray and stay faithful. Then the school district called it “insubordination.”This is more than one teacher’s story. It’s about the growing hostility toward faith in public life — and why the Cross is the center and icon of Christian life.
Fasting and silence are two disciplines that go deeper than most people realize. In this video I talk about the link between fasting, mental clarity, and interior silence — not just silence from noise, but silence of the senses, silence of the heart. This debrief from the Antioch camp isn’t just about the weekend, I also break down two key lessons about the outwards nature of our faith and the importance of the interior life in absolutely EVERYTHING we do.In this video I cover:-Why true encounter with Christ is found in the Eucharist.-The danger of false “anchors” like status or pleasure.-Why men should give abundantly.
Most men don’t fail because they’re lazy — they fail because they can’t say no and they don’t know what they’re really saying yes to.In this video I break down the two keys to locking in (especially as the year closes out):-The discipline to say no to distractions.-The clarity to know your deeper mission. If you’ve ever struggled with motivation, laziness, or staying focused on your goals, this will give you a framework to finish strong. True discipline isn’t about idolizing the grind — it’s about locking in on what God has actually called you to do.
We don’t lack knowledge—we lack passionate, engaging presentation that moves people to action.
#discipline #virtue #catholic Had a great question a few weeks ago about how to maintain focus and discipline outside of the academic setting with deadlines. I think most of us can relate to a bit of boredom and laziness after having completed a big assignment or goal, but there's much more time in our lives that isn't restricted by a specific deadline which is why we have to create our own urgency. An urgency to live virtuously today. It has to come from inside, as the exterior world won't provide it. Warriors train before war. Athletes train before the match. Men must train before the crisis. Spiritually, the war is already raging, and Jesus said, “You do not know the day or the hour.”When the Master returns, He should find us ready—lamps lit, talents multiplied, awaiting His second coming. Here are the main things I wanted to emphasise: in the second point the word I was looking for was compatible, to find or discern a form of service that is compatible with who you are as a person as well as the primary responsibilities that you have in front of you. And in the final point, gratuitous - there's a degree to which service will never be gratuitous.Let me know if you found the video helpful, any questions you have drop them below and I can respond.AMDG
