Reflect, today, on the image of Jesus in prayer. Picture Him lifting His sacred eyes toward Heaven, full of focus, love, and respect for His Father. Consider His intense devotion. Try to imitate that attentiveness in your own way of praying, using not just your words but your whole body to honor God.

Reflect, today, on this challenge from Jesus. Do not spend your life working for things that will pass away; work for what is eternal. Take a close look at your priorities. What do you focus on the most each day? Hopefully, your greatest goal is to grow deeper in faith in the Son of God and to live the love that lasts forever. If you find yourself too concerned with the things of this world, listen carefully to Jesus' words and let them lead you to seek the treasures that last for eternal life.

Reflect, today, on the meaning of this Resurrection story. Think about the Gospel you have heard. Have you truly listened to the Word of God as preached by the Church? Have you embraced the grace given through the Sacraments? Are you faithfully living by the Ten Commandments? Do you continually open yourself to the Seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit? Make it your goal to be among those caught on the "right side." Never doubt that hell is real and possible. Stay firm in your faith, so you may live always in God’s grace and one day share fully in His Resurrection.

Reflect, today, on these loving questions as if Jesus were speaking them directly to you. Let His words stir within you a desire to know Him more. Ask for the grace of a personal, life-giving relationship with both the Son and the Father. And know that the more you know Jesus, the more you come to know the heart of the Father as well.

Reflect, today, on the truth that what our Lord offers is often more than we are ready to receive all at once. But knowing this should awaken in us a desire for more. As you consider the superabundance of spiritual nourishment Christ offers, recommit yourself to seeking those remaining “twelve wicker baskets” of grace and truth. In doing so, you will discover that there is no end to the transforming love and depth of understanding our Lord wishes to give.

Reflect, today, on your own understanding of love. Think practically about the people in your life whom you’re especially called to love. Do you see your role as one of total self-giving? Do you understand that in giving yourself away, you won’t lose your life, but rather find it and fulfill it? Reflect on the love the Father has for the Son, and choose, boldly and willingly, to imitate that same love in your own relationships.
