Forgiveness
Shownotes
In this episode
1.1: Introduction
From an early age, we are taught the importance of forgiveness but do we truly understand what forgiveness means? How can we define forgiveness, or can we define it at all? And having defined it, how can we learn to practice it for our own benefit and for the benefit of those who have lost our trust
1.2: Broken trust
How do we deal with a betrayal of trust and mend damaged relationships? How do we set aside anger and resentment, and begin to work towards reestablishing our faith in someone who deceived us? In this episode, we will address these questions and learn how to find our way through this painful and often humiliating experience.
1.3: Betrayal and holding on to grudges: are we responsible for someone that we hurt?
Pain is a part of life, but suffering doesn’t need to be. Similarly, it is rare if not impossible to avoid being deceived or betrayed by another, whether in our social, professional of romantic lives. Yet we can shorten the duration of our hurt if we can learn how to not hold grudges.
1.4: The importance of forgiveness
In its real essence, forgiveness is not something we will ‘give’ to others. Forgiveness restores will mental peace, helps heal hurt, and can make long-term pain more avoidable.
