Women existed. Tenshi had wondered when the first all male delegation of humans visited his Imperial court. The woman bled and the blood smelt fragrant, addictive. Then came her death and he would have more to quench his thirst and madness.  It meant the end of his rule and the loss of everything. Human greed and Christian hate could mean the end of Menedek and his people. Tenshi would die to save them. Would a human woman save him, and his soul?
