Orlando Solis also known as Submerge is an American electronic music producer and DJ from Chicago, and son of successful musician Jose Luis Napoleon Solis. The techno aficionado can now be found playing some of the world’s most renowned places such as Berlin’s Berghain, Spain’s Fabrik, Vienna’s Camera Club, Nature One, and Def-Con 1 festival. Known for running the label Impact Mechanics, Orlando Solis own productions can also be found on the pristine label Mote Evolver, After successfully touring Europe several times in 2010, his appearance has been in demand each and every year. Submerge’s technical knowledge has landed him an endorsement by the respectable company Allen and Heath and his knowledge of IT has also landed him work at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Orlando also performs live under the alias Impact Mechanics and his music is being played by some of the biggest acts.

BRENDA

Brenda is a resident DJ on Format.FM, a weekly techno podcast, hosted by Format Recordings in Chicago, USA. She began DJing in 2013. While her true passion is for techno, she is a classically trained pianist and saxophonist, a foundation that allows her to draw inspiration from all kinds of music, from soulful jazz to dark and gritty drum and bass. Brenda has already played at some of Chicago’s best clubs, including Castle (Vision) on their closing night after a 25-year run, as well as Sound Bar and Exit.

Brenda has been involved in the underground electronic music scene since the late 90’s. At 14, she attended her first rave at a warehouse on the south side of Chicago, initially drawn to the unity, freedom, and acceptance of rave culture and the incredible music that is Chicago House.

Her techno obsession was sparked after hearing Richie Hawtin’s (Plastikman) “Sheet One,” Jeff Mills’ “The Bells,” and Green Velvet’s “Flash” and she has been an avid enthusiast since. She helped organize many underground events with Strobehouse, a Midwestern-American production crew, including DIY tents at the first annual Detroit Electronic Music Festival (Movement) and the legendary 3-day Even Furthur camping rave in rural Wisconsin, USA. Recently, her Furthur experience came full circle, but this time she not only helped host a DIYss (Format Recordings/ Vibeonauts/ Mushgroove) at the 20 year Furthur Anniversary event, but she performed as an artist. Recently, she became the newest member of Chicago's Noisefloor crew.

Rocky's first release on vinyl was in 2000 from Of the Mind Recordings, shortly followed up by two more vinyl releases from N10CT Records. It wasn’t long before world class DJ Paul Van Dyk played the single from N10CT Records called “Unhinged.” That tune went straight to number 5 in the weekly sales charts at Chemical Records for two weeks straight.

In 2006, Rocky Miller’s music took a new direction and was picked up by Emotive Sounds and found it’s way into the hands of Markus Schulz and Cosmic Gate. Listeners of Markus Schulz’s Global DJ Broadcast voted Rocky's track, “Chamber Of Secrets,” a Global Selection winner!

In 2017, Rocky's sound has evolved to techno, producing enough music scheduled to be released all year long. Keep watching the Twisted Vintage crew as Rocky fills their calendar with new music.
