- FFM187 | THE DEMIXFORMAT.FMFFM187 | THE DEMIXDECIMATION series, ep.1This week kicks off our 3 week FORMAT.FM series featuring artists performing at the Decimation festival Black V-Neck Techno stage, starting with a 1 hour set from MELT and Land of Sunshine's very own DEMIX!For more info about the festival and to purchase tickets: bit.ly/DecimateTixFnoob Techno Radio - http://fnoobtechno.com/radio-----------------------------------------------|THE DEMIXMelt |Radiograffiti - Milwaukee, WI USATHE DEMIX delivers sets with high ferocity that hover somewhere on the periphery of drum and bass, hardcore and breakcore with industrial and cinematic overtones. He pushes & throws electronic music events via MELT in Milwaukee, WI, is resident DJ & designer for Destination F*cked, and is the current graphic artist/illustrator for Drop Bass Network and Even Furthur.THE DEMIX is a genre-defiant musician, producer, DJ and live music pusher based in Milwaukee, WI, USA (Earth 1). He is responsible for the creation and curation of the MELT live music series in Milwaukee - a showcase for regional electronic talent, but which has also hosted internationally known artists such as Gonjasufi, Om Unit, Eliot Lipp, Lorn, Skrapez, Doormouse, All Tiny Creatures and DJ Abilities. Step outside the ‘electronic dj guy’ box you will find a heavy, dark, experimental artist who has performed with the likes of Secret Chiefs 3, Boris, Of Montreal, The Faint and Captured! By Robots."In an almost shamanistic manner, it was as if he were negotiating an exorcism between himself, his instrument and those assembled to witness his machinated grooves that hovered somewhere on the periphery of drum and bass and industrial, with the briefest of interludes to a more organic soulfulness (and with bits of vocal who-knows-what interspersed amid it all).Exactly who was being exorcised of what became almost immaterial as Demix worked his magic into increasingly intense, nearly seamless sonic highs until they would drop into the echoes of the crowd's collective memory."- Shepherd Express"An eerily cinematic blast of unsettling, apocalyptic screeching and slippery, reptilian beats."- The Onion AV Clubhttps://soundcloud.com/thedemix@thedemix---------------------------------------------------------------|AFTER THE SHOW join us at any of the following outlets to grab a stream or download this installment...http://fnoobtechno.com/radio/https://hearthis.at/formatfm/https://www.mixcloud.com/format_fm/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd05hsFkJ7X8cKHomfGlyqQhttps://soundcloud.com/format-fmhttps://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/format.fm/id111536201 hr
- FFM187 | FRANKTRONICFORMAT.FMFFM187 | FRANKTRONIC (resident farewell set)Techno Delivery Systems | Noisefloor | Format.FM - Chicago, USAFranktronic is a Chicago lifer with an unoriginal story. He spent the '90s like everyone else -- buying mixtapes, DJing in his bedroom, and dancing at basement parties. But one night, in one of those very basements, he heard a new sound that would change his life. A sound that, he would later find out, was called Techno. He now devotes his life to bringing the gospels to the people of his home towm. The gospels of Hood and Mills; of Surgeon and Clarke; of Ruskin and Broom; of Temple and Hall. Yea, the great gospels of our time.https://soundcloud.com/franktronichttps://www.facebook.com/noisefloorchicago/https://soundcloud.com/techno-delivery-systems---------------------------------------------------------------|AFTER THE SHOW join us at any of the following outlets to grab a stream or download this installment...http://fnoobtechno.com/radio/https://hearthis.at/formatfm/https://www.mixcloud.com/format_fm/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd05hsFkJ7X8cKHomfGlyqQhttps://soundcloud.com/format-fmhttps://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/format.fm/id111536201 hr 1 min

He was still attracted to the technical side of things, having as a hobby the music production. After finishing the Music University he chose the part that dominates him most - music production.Since he had contact with techno music, he felt how it helped discover the darkest part of life and that this genre could help him express. He was part of the techno music group "Kodeera", a group of 3 artists that performed live locally in Romania, sharing the lineup with very important names in the techno music industry: Sam Paganini, Egbert, Reinier Zonneveld, Alex Mine, Mind Against, Mar Houle and many others. After a while, Michael Ius decided that it is better for him to express and produce a personal state in techno music by himself because everyone has different experiences and feelings. He decided to start a solo career where the music he produces reflects parts of his life and personal moments of his time."Techno music is about a personal feel, personal experience, it can induce you in a meditation state of mind”www.youtube.com/channel/UCl6p2VR9podDEjAxQwYocyw/www.instagram.com/michael.ius.techno/www.facebook.com/michaelius/-----------------------------------------------|AFTER THE SHOW join us at any of the following outlets to grab a stream or download this installment...http://fnoobtechno.com/radio/https://hearthis.at/formatfm/https://www.mixcloud.com/format_fm/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCd05hsFkJ7X8cKHomfGlyqQhttps://soundcloud.com/format-fmhttps://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/format.fm/id111536201https://soundcloud.com/format-fm1 hr 1 min
