In this episode, Grant McHerron and Ewen Levick talk with former Australian Chief of Navy, retired Vice Admiral Tim Barrett, about his new role as convenor of the Indo Pacific 2022 International Maritime Exposition, which will be held in Sydney from the 10th to the 12th of May this year.

Tim covers the history and purpose of the exposition along with an overview of the conferences that run in conjunction. Of great importance to civil maritime organisations in addition to Defence, the event features domestic and international exhibitors and attendees from industry of all sizes, government and academia.

We also discuss the event organiser, the not-for-profit AMDA Foundation, talking about their promotion of industry innovation in general and during Indo Pacific 2022. With the volume of platform acquisition and upgrade programs underway, both within Australia and regionally, this event will be of great importance to anyone involved in maritime operations.
