In Feb 2015, I did a 5-day symposium consisting of 25 interviews with powerful and inspiring women sharing their stories and advice for transcending life’s struggles, fears and doing it their own way. We got so much incredible feedback on the interviews, we decided to turn it into a podcast. At times during the interviews when you hear us refer to the series or interviews that have already been done, keep in mind these interviews have been repurposed and may not follow the original order – but stay tuned because we’ll be airing two each month alternating with fresh new episodes called “Ask Liz” every Wednesday. Back in 2013 when I was studying sensual movement as part of developing Wild Soul Movement, my friend Kate Northrup introduced me to today's guest, Rochelle Schieck, founder and creator of Qoya. Click here to watch/listen or scroll upwards to listen only: About Rochelle: Rochelle Schieck loves to move- in her body and around the world. She started dancing as a young girl growing up in Minnesota until she was summoned by the call of adventure. Her love of movement and the desire to explore life’s meaning compelled her to spend the last 10+ years traveling around the world as a student and teacher to places throughout North and South America, Europe, Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Rochelle began instructing various yoga styles for all ages and abilities, several dance modalities and NIA. She has led over 4,000 movement classes and facilitated hundreds of private sessions. On a strong hit of intuition, she decided to move to New York City to enroll in a women’s empowerment program subtitled The Pleasure Revolution; this further inspired her study of the divine feminine, sensuality, and other womanly arts. This coupled with her experience as a personal trainer, certified massage therapist, shamanic energy healer and her degree in Interdisciplinary Fine Arts have all influenced her creation of the movement system, Qoya. In this episode Rochelle walks us through: 1.How to get information and feedback for your life using your emotions 2.Honoring your masculine and feminine energies and why both are useful 3.How to cultivate deep trust in yourself to worry less and experience more abundance in your life.
