What does it mean to be a man?

In a culture obsessed with masculinity—from UFC fights and combat sports to podcasts, politics, self-improvement, and the manosphere—the conversation about manhood has never been louder. Everyone seems to have an opinion about what makes a man strong, successful, respected, or influential.

But what does God say?

In this Father's Day message, Pastor Bogdan Kipko opens 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 and explores one of the most direct commands in the New Testament:

The Apostle Paul doesn't merely tell men to "act like men"—he defines what biblical masculinity actually looks like.

In this sermon, you'll discover:

✅ Why the opposite of biblical masculinity is not weakness, but passivity
✅ Why real men accept responsibility instead of avoiding it
✅ What it means to stand firm in truth in a culture of compromise
✅ How Jesus Christ redefines strength through sacrificial love
✅ Why the greatest need in America is not stronger men, but redeemed men

While culture often measures masculinity by power, influence, status, money, or physical strength, Scripture points us to a very different model—the God-Man Jesus Christ.

Jesus carried responsibility.

Jesus stood for truth.

Jesus sacrificed Himself in love.

And according to the Bible, that's what it truly means to act like men.

Big Idea:
Biblical masculinity is not measured by how much power a man possesses, but by how much of Christ's character he displays.

If this message encouraged you, consider liking the video, subscribing to the channel, and sharing it with a father, husband, son, friend, or anyone searching for what authentic biblical manhood looks like.

What does baptism really mean?

Is it simply a religious tradition? A public ceremony? Or is there something much deeper taking place?

In this Baptism Sunday message from Historic Pirate's Cove in Newport Beach, we explore one of the most powerful themes running throughout the entire Bible: God brings people from death to life.

From Noah and the flood, to Israel crossing the Red Sea, to the Jordan River, Scripture repeatedly shows God leading His people through the waters into a new future. Baptism is not merely about getting wet—it is a picture of leaving the old life behind and stepping into the new life that Jesus Christ offers.

In this sermon, you'll discover:

• Why Jesus died and rose again to save sinners
• What repentance really means
• Why baptism is a public declaration of faith
• How Christ gives new life to everyone who believes
• Why following Jesus changes everything

The greatest problem in our lives is not our finances, relationships, health, or circumstances. Our greatest problem is sin. And our greatest need is forgiveness. The good news of the Gospel is that Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and He is still changing lives today.
