This brand new, six-week sermon series will examine the six deadly sins of Suburbia by looking at six common temptations facing the modern Western Christian. Temptations like comfort, convenience, control, complacency, comparison, consumerism, and conceit knock on our door daily. What will we choose: the way of Christ or the way of self? 

In this first sermon in this new sermon series, Pastor Bogdan talks about the sin of comfort. Will you choose the way of comfort or the way of Christ? Avoid growing too comfortable in your faith. Instead, make choices and ask questions that challenge your status quo. Where is it in your life that you have become too comfortable, at the expense of neglecting the high call of discipleship that Christ demands? Suffering always precedes glory. There must be a crucifixion before there can be a resurrection. Discipleship is doing what is right, no matter how uncomfortable, and no matter how great the dangers are.

In this message, pastor Bogdan delivers the final message in the series entitled: What Is The Church? It's time to grow up. It really is. The Bible teaches us that as we grow up, we are no longer children. What do children do? They are tossed to and fro. What do adults do? They remain stable, not being tossed to and fro. As it is normal for a child to develop in all areas of life, so too the child of God must not only grow but grow up in the Lord. 

As believers, we are to leave the former infant lifestyle with constant fits and starts and we must mature into Christ who is the head. By submitting to the Lord and to leaders in the local church, we grow up spiritually and are then able to help others do the same. The Bible calls us to be childlike in our faith but to leave our childish ways behind and continue growing in the Lord.

In this message, Pastor Bogdan continues the sermon series entitled: What Is The Church? God has graciously distributed gifts to gifted people in the church so that the church can be unified. There are gifts that are given to everyone and then there are specific offices to which certain people are called. Everyone has a gift but not everyone holds an office. Everyone in the church is called to be pastoral but not everyone in the church is called or qualified to be a pastor. 

The purpose of the gifts given to the people in the church is so that believers would be prepared and equipped to do the work of the Lord, in order that we would obtain maturity in the Lord. We want to do all that we can to "fan into flame," the gifts that God has given the body of Christ.

In this message, pastor Bogdan continues the sermon series entitled: What Is The Church? The means by which unity will be preserved in the church is when people in the church will use the various gifts given to them by God. Within the body of believers, God has bestowed gifts. The exercise of these gifts plays a vital role in the maintenance of unity within the church. We don’t have to create unity, we are called to maintain it, not mess it up. 

When believers who are in the church either neglect or misuse the gifts God has given to them, therein begins the disruption of unity in the church. Because each gift that has been graciously given by our Lord to us, has been specifically curated for us, there should be no bitterness or resentment amongst the members of the church for not getting a certain type of gift. The Lord knows best what is best for us. Let us all be eager and zealous to use our gift for the good of the body of Christ.

God’s design for the church is to bring all the members of the body to the unity of faith and to the full stature of Christ with the result that they will be a stable and growing body in living union with Christ the head. We see from the text that pride provokes disunity whereas humility promotes unity. The Bible is teaching us that our job as Christians is not to create peace, because that is the job of the Holy Spirit but rather our job is to maintain the peace that has already been created with all eagerness. Christian lives should demonstrate humility, gentleness, and patience, which are accomplished by forbearing one another in love and making every effort to preserve the unity that comes from the Holy Spirit. A healthy church that not only grows but also grows up is a church where unity is eagerly maintained by all members.

Much of what will be shared in this message on The Body Of Christ and The Lord’s Supper was largely inspired by an amazing Puritan writer named Thomas Watson, specifically as he wrote about it in his short but very impactful book entitled The Lord's Supper. 

In this message, we will learn about the five particulars as they relate to The Lord’s Supper, namely the Author, the time, the manner, the guests, and the benefits of the Lord's Supper. In order to equip His disciples for such a time and to encourage, stabilize, and prepare them for what is to come, that very night when He was betrayed, He gave them His body and blood in the Sacrament. He gives them Himself. The amazing thing about Jesus is that even when He was dying, He did not stop loving.
