Discipleship is not a program to attend but rather a way of life to embrace. When we talk about Holy or Sacred Spaces, we are talking about spaces set apart. We are talking about places that are made sacred because God is there. The 3+3 Model of Discipleship includes sacred spaces and sacred relationships. We can try to do something our way but the Way maker has a different way. You can live life your way or God's way. It is your choice. God's way though, is God's best for you. Dont miss the WayMaker! Each miracle of Jesus that we’ve looked at in the past five weeks, Jesus makes a way, but there is something very distinctive in this message! The ten lepers in this story had their skin changed but only one had his heart changed. Be careful so that the disease of bitterness, past wounds, anger, addiction, or whatever your vice might be, is not growing in your life!

Despite constant discussion of grace and forgiveness in church life, it’s still easy to hold on to regrets, shame, and self-condemnation. Our past seems too dark to wipe out, our sins too great to be covered. And yet this passage shows the power of Christ’s healing to make us clean. Christ heals the bleeding woman in a display of divine power and purity, allowing her to return to the temple and to worship in community.

We see our own story in this passage—Christ extends his salvation to us and overcomes our sin, making us pure and holy in his sight, which allows us to live freely and fully in Christian community.

In a day when women were considered second-class, Jesus shattered prejudices and elevated the status of women to unprecedented heights.

Only in Christian circles have women been lifted up to true equality with men, which doesn’t exist in many parts of the world. It’s unique that the writer of the book of Proverbs, the wisest man that ever lived, Solomon, is portraying wisdom as a woman. 

The quality of a home does not depend on location, size, or zip code if you live behind a gate or don’t if you have a small or a big backyard or none at all if you have a view from your home or don’t. It is the woman that makes the home. 

In this Mother's Day Sermon, Pastor Bogdan turns our attention to a wise woman in the Bible named Abigail. Abigail was a wise woman in a situation that could have gone really bad for her and for her family. Wise women wield much power and influence - for better or for worse.

"Just because God hasn’t made a way in the way in which you expected Him to, that doesn’t mean that He isn’t the Waymaker. If we miss this and if we miss out on all the miracles that God is doing in our midst, we will fail to see how much God really does love us and our devotion and worship of Him will wane and our love for other people will become lukewarm. We run the risk of becoming disenchanted and disappointed not just with Christianity or following Jesus or church but with life itself and we run the risk of spiraling out of control, listening to the lies of the enemy instead of hearing and seeing the truth from God.

Christianity isn’t about getting you into heaven. Christianity is about heaven coming to you. You can either declare Jesus as Lord, dismiss Him as a liar, or think of Him as a lunatic. The one thing you cannot remain to be in relation to Jesus is indifferent. Grappling and studying Jesus and the fact that Jesus really did come back from the dead, and seeing Him for who He really is, is so crucial because if you miss this, then you will miss the entire point of why you exist on this planet to begin with and you run the risk of missing out on your life purpose.

April is a Busy Month. In fact, as I was trying to form a schedule it was filled with obligations to friends, family, church, and work with hardly any room to breathe. I don’t know if you have ever been in a busy season. It's all the things that you have said yes to but sometimes it feels overwhelming. Have you ever been excited about a party or an event? You spend all this time preparing and getting everything set up but by the time it happens, you are tired, or in a bad mood. The day passes you by and you don’t enjoy it.

In the film 500 Days of Summer. The film chronicles various days within a young couple's doomed relationship. There is a scene in the movie in which the guy is invited to a party with the girl and this will be his chance to win her back. All of a sudden the movie goes from split-screen and there is one side with expectation and the other is reality. On the expectation side, he is charming and is able to regain the affections of his love but on the other side, in reality, she barely notices he is there and is off in the corner.
