But first, what are the basics of climate change? If someone asked you what it's about and why you should care, what would you say?

Also, what does the Green New Deal say about ... How we can create a clean energy economy by 2030?

We are talking about the Green New Deal, which is a comprehensive plan for transitioning to a just and equitable economy fueled by clean energy.

Hart continues to rant about US involvement in Latin America.

What gives us the right to make war on Nicaragua? What gives us the right to support death squads and political assassins? We are responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras. We are responsible for the death of 200,000 people in Guatemala.

What gives us the right?

US business interests are driving this whole process, all the violence, all the war, all the trade sanctions that amount to economic strangulation.

What gives us the right?

Who benefits? Who's making money? Who's on the take?

Why are all the immigrants coming up from Central America? Why is Latin America so poor?

This is the untold story of Latin America. The United States is almost solely responsible for the poverty in Latin America. Our foreign policy operates to make it easy for transnational corporations, but very hard for the people of Latin America.

This needs to change, if we are to earn the reputation of "the land of the free."

Today we’ll hear from Tom Fitzgerald, Executive Director of the Kentucky Resources Council and a professor of Energy and Environmental Law at the University of Louisville. Tom presented a Environmental Justice 101 primer.

Following that, we hear from three representatives of the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (APCD): Keith Tally, Executive Director; Michelle King, Director of Program Planning; and Rachael Hamilton, Assistant Director. Together they tackle the question of: what is the state of our air in Louisville?
