On this special holiday week edition of Sustainability Now!, your host, Justin Mog, takes you back to Simmons College on November 27th for some highlights from the 2018 Environmental Justice Conference. This annual event is sponsored by the West Jefferson County Community Task Force and the NAACP.
Today we’ll hear from Tom Fitzgerald, Executive Director of the Kentucky Resources Council and a professor of Energy and Environmental Law at the University of Louisville. Tom presented a Environmental Justice 101 primer.
Following that, we hear from three representatives of the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (APCD): Keith Tally, Executive Director; Michelle King, Director of Program Planning; and Rachael Hamilton, Assistant Director. Together they tackle the question of: what is the state of our air in Louisville?
