He recently came to town to visit fellow RPCVs in Louisville and Kentucky as part of his work to encourage collective action amongst all friends of the U.S. Peace Corps, whether that be through continued service back home or through advocacy for continued and expanded funding for the Peace Corps and other peace-building foreign assistance programs. Together we talk about the history and mission of the Peace Corps; what it looks like today; what current funding levels are for the Peace Corps and why it is worth increasing funding. We also discuss the work of the National Peace Corps Association as well as Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in Kentucky and Louisville; and what Kentuckians can do to support the Peace Corps.
