Join Forward Radio hosts, Justin Mog (Sustainability Now!) and Hart Hagan (The Climate Report) for a conversation with Beck Mordini, Executive Director of Biodiversity for a Livable Climate, https://bio4climate.org/. Beck has over 20 years of nonprofit experience including protecting the biodiversity of native plants at the Santa Barbara Botanic Garden and protecting undocumented workers from exploitation in Washington state. ** This was not a source I was familiar with even though it was being quoted by Pen America so I consulted www.Mediabiasfactcheck.com. This was their summary of this source. "Overall, we rate Popular Information Left Biased based on story selection and editorial content that routinely favors liberal causes. We also rate them High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing and a clean fact-check record."

On this week’s program, your host, Justin Mog, parks his bike for a chat with Chris Glasser from Streets for People (S4P) about their 2024 Advocacy Agenda. S4P is calling for $5 million in funding for traffic calming programs and for revisions to the city's inequitable street safety policies. They are proposing solutions that will invest in neighborhood-level traffic calming, the beautification and walkability of our commercial corridors, and improving access to city parks. S4P believes this is an agenda that everyone in the city can support -- urban or suburban, Democrat or Republican, young or old, East, West or South. Learn more at https://www.streetsforpeople.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/2024-Advocacy-Agenda.pdf
Tune in for an update on impending two-way conversions of oppressive one-way roads in our urban core, including Logan & Shelby; and 2nd & 3rd Streets.
