We are a week away from finals and in the last round of footy, Melbourne and Canberra have rested numerous players to keep their players raring to go for finals next week. The boys also discuss potential Dally M winners, Redcliffe's $100 million bid to go into the NRL, the trialling of rules in two matches this weekend and the news of what is happening in the player market.

The top 8 has been decided with two rounds left but that doesn't mean there isn't much to talk about on this weeks episode. Player movement is continuing with Addin Fonua Blake wanting out of his contract while there are complications with Josh Addo-Carr leaving the Tigers on compassionate grounds. Along with that, James Tedesco and Josh Papalii secure their futures at their current clubs and the Brisbane Broncos future coaching job remains up in the air.

As we get closer to finals time, the boys discuss which teams they see as the real premiership contenders. They also discuss Russell Packer and Josh Reynolds leaving the Tigers' match early, Chad Townsend's controversial send off and Anthony Griffin signing as the Dragons coach for the next two seasons.

Another week of rugby league means another week closer to finals footy as the boys discuss the downfall of Parramatta and Newcastle along with the rise of South Sydney and the Warriors. Cowboys have confirmed their coach for next season while the Brisbane job as become a two horse race. SBW is back this week in the grand final rematch while there are still question marks around Cam Smith's future.

The debate of the crusher tackle continues to circulate around the rugby league world, two of the best clubman announce their retirement at the end of the season and the Melbourne Storm get both Cameron's back for their match against Manly this week.

Jonty and Aaron discuss the question on everyone's mind of 'did he or did he not bite?' as Kevin Proctor became the first player sent off in the 2020 season due to a biting accusation. The boys also discuss Josh Addo-Carr as a potential fullback, Paul McGregor winning his final match as the Dragons coach, and the NRL's final verdict on the Broncos players that went out for a pub feed.

Everything and more has been happening in the past rugby league week. There were multiple covid breaches by players from many different aspects of the game with Wayne Bennett the most popular name. Brisbane Broncos continue to be in shambles as it was released that 10 players were spotted out at a restaurant, and Tevita Pangai is walking on egg shells as the Broncos consider sacking him.

The uncertainty of future coaching jobs at the Warriors and Cowboys remains imminent as Todd Payten has turned down an offer from New Zealand and has expressed his interest for the North Queensland gig. The boys also discuss the amount of injuries and resting of players throughout a shortened season with no byes.
