Moses is an example of someone who stood in faith and confidence that God is exactly who He says He is.

He wasn't always perfect at it:

• he had faith crises at times
• he struggled to believe that God could use him
• he even disobeyed God.

But when you look at his life, he consistently and faithfully, followed Almighty God; and even at his points of failure, he believe God is who He says He is and he followed Him.

God took an ordinary guy and used him in an ordinary way.

God can use you in the same way!

I hear over and over that this is a Joshua Generation, but the only way it can be a Joshua Generation is if:

• There are thousands of Moses' who will rise up
• They need to be mentors
• They need know how to get face-to-face with God
• They know how to live in the glory of God
• They fast and pray and
• They go to mountain of God
• They live it out
• They mentor the next generation

Let's believe that God can use this Joshua generation - ordinary young people - to do extraordinary things!

God intends you to live the blessed life. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 God wants to give you these 6 things from Ephesians 3:16-19

• to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,
• that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
• that you, being rooted and grounded in love, (life stable, secure)
• may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— (live higher, wider longer and deeper than ever before)
• to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge;
• that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

How we can live this kind of life? 7 Choices to Revolutionize a Graduate's Life You win or lose by the way you choose! The two most important elements of life

• the choices we make
• the relationships we build

  You need to learn the value of choosing joy over pain

• Life isn't fair
• You will be offended

Don't live in failure

• Failure is an event, not an identity

• Nabal = Committed Fool
• Choose wisdom over your own ability
• Get around older people to mentor you, learn from wise people

Choose to live by the Holy Spirit

• Promised to give us divine power
• Anointing = Enables an ordinary person to do extraordinary things

Choose to live by faith

• Don't just live by what you can see and feel
• When you don't feel it, faith it!

Have you ever received an incredible blessing from God in your life on Sunday only for it to have vanished somewhere the next day or a few days later and you think, "Where did it go? I thought I got blessed?" You can't lose a blessing. But you can choose to walk away from your inheritance, renounce your adoptions, walk away from your walk with the Lord. Sometimes we do stupid things, but you can't lose your blessing. There are days when we wake up in the morning and we're feeling good and we feel God's presence, but then by noon on the job someone gets in our face, our supervisor walks in all grumpy, and all that good "feeling" goes away. It's not that you lose your blessing, but the enemy tries to steal it or we make a poor choice and walk away from it because we choose:

• To walk into darkness
• Choose to walk into an inappropriate situation
• We choose behavior that will quench the blessing
• We grieve the Spirit that blessed us

What do you do?

• Reject the lie that you have to be good enough to receive good gifts from God
• Remember that it's all by grace

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

• The baptism of the Holy Spirit is one of the treasures in that field.
• Give everything up to get that treasure, just like you did for your Salvation.

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” John 7:37a-38

• • If you thirst for me with all your heart
  • If you believe this treasure is worth everything
  • Out of your belly will flow enormous rivers

Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” Luke 11:9-13

• In Greek - for Him that keeps on asking, keep seeking, keep knocking

"He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. I wish you all spoke with tongues," 1 Corinthians 14:4-5a "do not forbid to speak with tongues." 1 Corinthians 14:39b Do you know why Paul said this?

• God wants to give you that gift
• He gives the gift of the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues because in that heavenly language is where you find a supernatural resource of joy.
• You find a supernatural resource of peace
• You find a strength to walk through ever difficult situation you have
• You build

• Choose to live by wisdom
• Choose to live by faith

• David
• Gideon

• Disciples

• Mary Slessor
• Founders of the Pentecostal revival
• Smith Wigglesworth

"Then He said to them, 'Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And you are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.'” Luke 24:46-49

• Endued means to put on garment - jacket
• God had a promise for them: "You will be baptized in the Holy Spirit and receive extraordinary power to do extraordinary things."

Choose to Live by the Power of the Holy Spirit "When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:1-4

• They received exactly what Jesus promised
• The simple fisherman had become so powerful that they were turning the world upside down. God took ordinary people and did extraordinary things.
• God didn't' promise the baptism of the Holy Spirit just to the disciples, but to everyone.

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions." Joel 2:28

• "all flesh"
• When peter finished sermon, people asked "What do we need to do?

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38-39

• To you
• To your children
• (Jewish people were the only ones there)
• To all who are afar off (Greek: those people that live a far distance away) - all nations of the world - Jew and Gentile
• Even as many as the Lord our God will call

Why would God do this?

• Because He wants ordinary people to have supernatural power
• God has a divine assignment for your life, but you can't do it on your own.

“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."John 14:12 This verse isn't just for

• prophets
• evangelists
• Benny Hinn
• Televangelists
• Mega church pastors

Jesus is saying to every ordinary believer that is born again of the Holy Spirit I a

Wen we received Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, He literally comes and dwells in us by the Holy Spirit. Often when we think about God, we think about God in heaven and try to reach up to Him. We don't have to reach up to God, because He reached down to us. His Word says that when we draw near to God, He draws near to us. Is there an area of your life where the enemy still has a foothold or jurisdiction? God wants to be wider and longer in your life. He wants that territory. If God is truly all-powerful and we can't fathom His greatness, and yet He lives in me, what limit is there to your life? Only the limit you put there!

• Condemnation
• Insecurity
• Fear and worry
