This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, we received the following from a listener- I have a piece of property that has greatly appreciated over the years. I'm considering selling it, but I'd like to know how and where the proceeds can be used to glorify God. Dr. Philpot asks if all of it should be given to the church. Can it be given to other organizations, or maybe to individuals who have needs- Should our giving be done anonymously, no matter where or to whom we give- He asks Dr. Richard Caldwell how should questions like these be answered. In 2 Corinthians 9-7, the Apostle Paul tells us that each should give as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. But as Christians, how can we know that what and where we give glorifies God-

This week's question for the Straight Truth Podcast deals with why God would allow Satan to enter the Garden of Eden. Dr. Josh Philpot reminds Dr. Caldwell and listeners that we have previously dealt with the question of why God created the Devil. Because numerous Scriptures tell us that God created everything that exists, all that is and ever will be, we know God created Satan. And because God is omniscient, all-knowing, He knew that this spiritual being would rebel. Sometime after this, we also know that God created Adam and Eve in His image and gave them a beautiful home in Eden. God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. But then, somehow, Satan gains access to Adam and Eve. Why would God allow the Devil to enter this paradise garden after he rebelled- Why would He do this, knowing Satan would tempt Adam and Eve by using a crafty, shrewd creature, which God had also created- Why would God do that-

Introduction-Our Lord is addressing the cities that are emblematic of the entire people of Israel who are rejecting their King. -Clearly, we do not mean that every Jewish person rejected Christ - His disciples are Jewish - but the nation considered as a whole proved to be unbelieving.-But these cities are also emblematic of all mankind apart from the grace of God.-Like children playing in the marketplace, sinful humanity finds fault with the messengers of the truth -even when that messenger is Himself THE TRUTH EMBODIED-, in an attempt to escape the message itself.

This week on the Straight Truth Podcast, Dr. Richard Caldwell and host Dr. Josh Philpot discuss questions from a listener concerned about the biblical action of submission. Questions asked include- Where is the line of submission when a young woman is dating- Would submission look different for a young woman who lives at home compared to an older one who does not- When should the shift of submission transfer from a woman's father-parents to the man she is to marry- These questions presuppose a belief in submission of which the Bible speaks. But do we really understand submission and what it means- What the Bible says about women and submission is a hotly debated topic in our day and age. But much of it lacks proper biblical understanding and application. Dr. Caldwell seeks to guide us in our thinking as he answers these questions. His approach is as a pastor. But he is not only a pastor. He is a husband, a father of sons and a daughter, and a man who loves and submits to the Lord Jesus Christ.
