This morning, we pick up where we left off last week with the final two guidelines to brave the potential mess that can come with seeking the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit has given special gifts and abilities to each of us for the purpose of building up the church. Those gifts are still active and intended for today. We cannot allow the potential mess to prevent us from experiencing all God has for us. As we step into these abilities, God gives us both guidelines to keep us balanced and grace to deal with potential messes.

Well-based or fenced-based ministry.

As we've discussed in the earlier in the series, the reason why the church lacks fire, is because many still cling to things that they do not want to be consumed. But what if your comfort was never a part of God's plan? What if the reason we don't have the fire of God is because we've become comfortable with the darkness?

For something to burn it has to be flammable. God wants to pour out His Spirit upon His church, but we must prepare ourselves to receive it. As followers of Jesus, there are things that we must do to become flammable.

Many Christians say they want all that God has for them, but few are willing to pay the price. The Bible promises that Jesus followers would be baptized by fire and the Holy Spirit. This was never a simple promise to give them power, but that they would be completely consumed by the Holy Spirit.

The Other Side of the Wall,” explores the story of Rahab highlighting four key steps she took to find victory amidst chaos. Teaching the importance of trusting in God’s protection, cover, and promises, leading to a transformed life centered on faith and obedience to Jesus.

As we approach the conclusion of our series, we take one more look at the entirety of what Jesus accomplished through His death and resurrection. We have made a mess of this world through the destructive consequences of our sin, but Jesus loved us so much that He laid down his life to do what only He could do. His shed blood has paid our penalty and removed the stain of sin from those who trust in Him. Through the resurrection, He has defeated sin and death and now He is seated on Heaven's throne. We now have this confident hope that one day our upside-down world will be restored as Jesus is exalted, once and for all, as the "Name Above All Names!" No one watching the crucifixion could have made sense of what they were seeing. Witnessing the agonizing death of an innocent Jesus, caused His followers, the very ones that witnessed His miracles, to question everything. It seemed that when Jesus breathed His last, so did their faith. What good could possibly come out of this horrendous act? But if the seemingly senseless suffering of an innocent Jesus brought about the salvation of the world, what does that say about how God might be at work in the midst of your suffering? Because Jesus hung on till the very end, we can have the hope to keep hanging on in every situation.
