  • 24thEpisode - GW38 - Obvious pick Sanchez
Twenty forth episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, it's nail biting times as the final week of the fantasy football marathon approaches. Are you chasing the top or struggling to beat the drop? Lucky for you our panel boasts teams at both ends of the spectrum!
The big hitters are all in the pot and in form for the final game week, with Sanchez, Kun, KDB, Hazard and Martial in the panels thoughts. Does the absence of Welbeck give rise however to an FF legend in Theo Walcott? The panel air their views whether Wally the whippet would leave us wielding our fists or just wondering why we chose him! (Do you like what we did with w alliteration there?)
Differentials unearths some beauties with saints the talk of the surgery scrubs room. Bully serves up a slice of Antonio humble pie after falling victim to Parker's golden buzzer in past game weeks!
The quiz rumbles on it really is make or break for Parker. Win and he takes the Beard to the final game week. Lose? Well let's just say the soon to be crowned multiple mini league winner will have to repeat with a less than fashionable holding midfielder next season!
Tune in for all this and more on the pod that just keeps giving!

  • 23rdEpisode - DGW37 - Hot topic? Hazard a guess
Twenty third episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, the lads return as the fantasy football season draws towards a depressing close but not without a final double game week to raise the decision despairing adrenaline levels that managers everywhere have come to crave. The panel focus on what is left at stake. Does United's slim chance of European qualification make the favourable or are LVG's army more focussed on cup final glory?
Kun Aguero has been a no brainer this season but with City in the champions league does his 13 million price tag make him a favourable player to offload with just 3 weeks to go in favour of a more balanced side? This is discussed with the usual mix of ideas.
Eden Hazard, we have all looked to the footballing gods for redemption and it would seem our prayers were answered with some increasing consistency in form and a title deciding goal to boot. Does his still hefty price tag warrant a final punt?
Differentials draws a mixture of ideas with the late arriving Woodsy and forced to make a live transfer. It all comes down to the Beard to decide his fate!
We answer your Twitter questions in the ever more popular feature. One listener is very keen to see the ears vs beard battle rage on and the Iceman’s quiz does not disappoint. With only three pods left before the season end, can Parker make ground or will the beard hold as firm as his temperament?

  • 22ndEpisode - GW36 / DGW37 - Lukaku is dead to me
Twenty second episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, tune in to the latest installment from the surgeons but don't be late as Parker has a new punishment wheel up his sleeve! Facing the impending stress of double game week prep as per usual differences of opinion divide the panel over Liverpool. The question is, does the Beard forgive Klopp or do the rivers still run red with the blood of anger from his fiery beard?
West Ham feature in the panels thinking with a live transfer showing full commitment to the cause. Surprisingly Payet is not the name on everyone's lips!
A question facing all fantasy football managers this season is "when will Hazard fire?" A brace at the weekend has one keen surgeon purring again and his value is discussed at length....not without the interruption of some water works!
The panel answer your Twitter questions with the double game week in mind. Romelu Lukaku, fast turning into the marmite of the premier league, divides opinion with some ready to divorce and others wanting to stay together for the kids (points!).
The iceman's quiz really is at sub zero now with minimal weeks to make up ground. Will Parker notch a much needed victory or will the bottom dwellers continue to shine more at trivia than actual team selection?
Join us again for a jolly good chuckle in this week's fantasy football surgery!

  • 21stEpisode - GW35 - Redline chemistry
Twenty first episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast is brought to you within DGW34. We're sure all FPL managers have been drawn to the appeal of twice the opportunity for players to score. The Surgery team are no different, as we discuss the use of the newly introduced chips and whether minus points are leveled by DGW under-performers.
We offer our suggestions on the limited future GW35, as well as the usual features of the captains choices and differentials. There's also an attempt to be comical from our sound effect expert host Bully! As well as congratulations for Parker as he breaks into the top 2k of FPL teams! With the unfortunate absence of 2nd place Beard man, the rest of the panel try to determine the recipe for Parker's success. With the help of Norwich owner and part time chef Deli Smith we establish that's it down to choices of pure luck. Add a generous portion of random decisions, you can use Jamaal Lascelles or Firmino mixed in with as many of the bitterest lemons you can find, left for 35GW's and you'll find yourself in the top 2k!
As a final thought please don't forget, Andy Carroll has a DGW coming up!!!

  • 20thEpisode - GW34 - FF_Surgery goal, Campbell assist
Twentieth episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, this week the surgeons are 2 down so they use a free transfer to upgrade and bring in a special guest, but who is it? With them being a couple of men down this week it brings about a new host, can Big time Charlie Parker get over his ego and lead the surgeons to another successful podcast.
The special guests is rumoured to be a relation of Sol and Kevin..... it’s Tom Campbell. Tom has finished in the top 5k in FPL for the past 2 years can he further insight for the season run in? In addition his hero turns out to be the iceman. With this in mind he tries to out stat the iceman, with plenty of stats and opinions, who will send you to sleep the quickest? Iceman or Tom?
Once again, the surgeons choose their panels picks, with so many teams and players involved in the double game week, who will the surgeons put their money on?
The differential picks look at Man City and Liverpool and try to pick which other options there are with a congested fixture list for both!
The quiz takes a further twist with Charlie Parker having pre-recorded his answers and Tom playing for The Bull. Can the newbie outfox the regular surgeons and confirm The Bull won't have to worry about a team containing Cattermole next year?
As well as all this, there is the usual terrible banter, stats, facts and mind games around captains picks!
Good luck in the massive double game week!

  • 19thEpisode – GW33 – Keith Lemon’s and his world class clowns
Nineteenth episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, spring, summer, autumn and winter have passed, moving FF managers world-wide into double game week season. Join the panel as they plan the end of season run in with the usual mix of the sensible to the absurd!
The Iceman serves up a generous helping of humble pie supported by the community for his choice to wildcard early. This is met with a mixed reaction from high flyers Beard and Parker.
Everton and Palace predictably dominate this week's suggestions with a debate over the PSG and Real Madrid courted £60 million Lukaku. The question is, would Aguero or the wizard be a better choice for skipper with their respective home games?
A debate breaks out over Firmino and Coutinho. Can the former still score highly in the shadow of Coutinho and Liverpool's ever rotating list of crocked strikers?
Your Twitter questions are answered as usual, sadly without the tender tones of the potty mouthed Woodsy, who has taken brief career break of one week!
Finally Parkers alter ego Keith Lemon rears his ugly head as tensions in the iceman's quiz fray. Marvel as this once calm and professional man is lured into a battle with the quiz master.
All this and the celebrated return of an FF favourite- ginger Kevin is back!

  • 18thEpisode - GW32 - Bully slipped in
Eighteenth episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, after many failed recordings (due to the Iceman's IT illiteracy) one of the surgeons decided to jumped ship so HMS FF Surgery was missing it's El Capitano. The Iceman decided to promote the obvious choice.....Woodsy. Can this former rogue surgeon change the course of HMS FF Surgery or will it plough straight into the iceberg?
Charlie starts us off serving up further Pelle humble pie and woodsy regrets picking and captaining Newcastle's new left back Sissoko, who will rouge host choose this week? The surgeons decide to learn some German after Vardy and Kane's exploits in Berlin.
A change of tact from the bearded one as he backtracks on his fear of the double game week, this after convincing all of the surgeons to stay clear! On a run the beardman also threatens to use one of his valued chips and triple captain woodsy's hero Dimitri, but will he have the minerals to follow his threat through for another live gamble?
When bullard does decide to turn up he makes some unusual choices including Per Mertesacker as his captains pick. The iceman confirms everyone's suspicions of his hatred for Charlie as he doesn't even give him a chance to answer the quiz, ensuring that Cattermole will be in his stating 11 next year.
As well as all this there is the usual farcical captains choice, stats from the iceman for a good bedtime story and plenty of terrible banter that will end up with the surgeons being locked up in bantanamo bay.
Good luck in your game week!

  • 17thEpisode - GW31 - Double the game week, treble the panic!
17thEpisode – GW31 - Double the game week, treble the panic!
Being a fantasy football manager is stressful and throws enough curve balls at the best of times, so naturally the Premier League have waited until the last month of the season, when tensions are running highest, to throw in two double game weeks!
Panic sets in amongst the panel with the different approaches to such a dilemma becoming quickly apparent. The Iceman is at his mathematical and predictive best as he accounts for every scenario to influence your decision making.
Lukaku looks to be back in the points again and his appearance in both double game weeks draws debate from the panel. Confidence in the late rise of Liverpool is quickly shot down by a less than impressed Woodsy, staunch in his support for West Ham making the top 4!
Did you ever think you would hear a Newcastle player suggested on the podcast whose name is not Gorgeous George? Well sit back in disbelief as one panel member skilfully justifies and backs his selection!
Tempers continue to boil between the Beard and Parker, with the title and mini league prize not so far away now. What mind games will the beard try this week?
The Iceman's quiz leaves another nasty taste in the mouth for one panel member, whilst another is becoming somewhat cut adrift, marooned on the island of Cattermole.
All this and the usual combination of banter, comedy, incompetence and somewhere good advice mixed in for good measure.

  • 16thEpisode - GW30 - The bottom dwellers challenge
Sixteenth episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast, join the band of surgical misfits as the speed bump that is game week 30 approaches. Laced with big hitters but with the potential to throw out the balance of teams, resulting in later hits, the panel propose a mixed approach. Is this the week for the Mike Bassett 4-4-2 philosophy?
A debate breaks out over the Leicester back line bringing to the surface once more the rivalry between Parker and the Beard. Can the whispy ginger tickle of Beard's mind games continue to gain him ground on the champion in waiting? Or will an iron nerved Parker hold his position?
Man City feature heavily before a number of eyebrow raising differentials are thrown into the mix. The Iceman is at his statistical best as he blinds the team with science and math!
Captains choice draws a division between the panel. Kun provides the ever present option but once more the Iceman has a startling proposition! He did call Arnie in gameweek 28 though so it may be worth a punt.
Finally the quiz provides an opportunity for Parker to get off the mark. With the risk of Cattermole becoming ever more real as the end of the season approaches, will he buckle under the pressure?
All this and the usual self-esteem crushing banter on episode 16 of the Fantasy Football Surgery!!!

  • 15thEpisode - GW29 - COOKIE!!!
Fifteenth episode of the Fantasy Football Surgery Podcast sees the panel reunited and fielding a full starting line up! Apologies listeners but we didn't manage to get a Podcast up for GW28 but this one will make up for it.
Woodsy has the opportunity to reply to the comments made in the previous episode.
The panel delve into how FPL is affected by the players diet. Further revelations into Parker's nutrition advice reveals the cause for Raheem's lack of performance since arriving at City. Woodsy combines his nutritional advice with responding to a tweet suggesting Iceman's voice having a famous tone. COOKIE!
We debate into the use of chips and whether to utilise them during double game weeks or specific fixtures. This allows for more competition between the mini league rivals Parker and Beard and there's a DGW challenge set.
The pressure of the quiz continues to increase with the threat of Cattermole being included in the losers 2016/17 FF squad. The quiz then leaves one panel member sobbing into their facial hair as they narrowing miss out on a victory. The quiz master also feels the strain with the Premier League FF website feeding him some incorrect stats, the mood turns frosty!!
The panel provide their answers to the Twitter Q&A. Which sees one our loyal followers mock Woodsy's distinct lack of FF knowledge and we hear from FF Pundits biggest Cant, Leon Cantwell!
