Feminist Question Time with speakers from USA, Canada, Ukraine and UK
Women's Declaration International (WDI) Feminist Question Time is our weekly online webinars. It is attended by a global feminist and activist audience of between 200-300. The main focus is how gender ideology is harming the rights of women and girls. You can see recordings of previous panels on our YouTube Channel. WDI is the leading  global organisation defending women’s sex-based rights against the threats posed by gender identity ideology. There is more information on the website womensdeclaration.com where you will find our Declaration on Women’s Sex-based rights, which has been signed by more 30,000 people from 157 countries and is supported by 418 organisations.
This week’s speakers:
Diana Shaw - USA - Debunking Myths About Transgender Murder & Suicide Rates
Bio: Diana founded independent news website 'Women Are Human' as a spin-off of 'This Never Happens,' a Facebook group debunking the myth that males who identify as women or 'cross-dress' don't commit male-pattern crimes. To fill in for mainstream news media's silence or gaslighting language on gender identity, she expanded WAH to such areas as sports, law and politics.
Simone XX - Canada - Why feminists should be deeply concerned about Canada’s Bill C-11 - Commonly referred to as “the Online Streaming Act”, Bill C-11 will allow the viewing experience of Canadians to be regulated and controlled by the government of Canada, promoting certain content, which the Heritage Committee deems appropriate, while suppressing the “discoverability” of other content. Online programming such as WDI’s Feminist Question Time may have to pay fees directed to the Canadian Media Fund (CMF), which will contribute funds to programming that promotes the interests of marginalized communities, such as those defined by their “gender identity and expression”. The proposed amendments to the current Broadcasting Act also further institute female erasure into the psyche and future of Canadians
Bio: Simone XX is a writer for Women Are Human, currently specializing in political opinion editorials. Based in Canada she is focused on strategizing to mitigate the impact of federal legislation and upcoming laws on women’s sex-based rights. Simone is also a member and provincial co-coordinator for Women’s Declaration International – Canada.
Olena Zeitseva - Ukraine - War in Ukraine: sexual exploitation still almost invisible - During several last months Ukraine has done important things to protect women from violence: it has ratified the Istanbul Convention, is developing an action plan for to combat human trafficking, law enforcement agencies cooperation has been initiated, state level discussions, round tables, and NGO training are being held. I attend most of these events, organized by private and official structures, and I can say that the issue of sexual exploitation of women (prostitution) remains almost invisible, even during anti-trafficking events.
Bio: Lawyer, working as a gender equality expert and GBA+ expert in Ukraine. From February 24 2022 is engaged in anti-trafficking project in Ukraine. Working on comparative study of international law norms related to fighting sexual exploitation.
Sue England - UK/Germany - The State of Global Demographics. - All the up to date figures and trends. The birth rate has dropped by half globally since the end of the second world war, through education and contraception for women. Women have changed the world and will continue doing so.
Bio: Sue England is based in Munich and is qualified as a lawyer in the UK. She's studied in the UK and Belgium and worked in four different countries around the world.
She later taught Human Rights law and EU law at two UK universities. She's an active member WDI and also runs a series of seminars on Human Rights Law for Non-lawyers. All welcome to
attend on Zoom. Free.
