Fr. Cappy’s Corner

God demands our hearts and souls. And although his demands might be extreme, his merciful generosity is also extreme.

Zephaniah speaks of a “remnant” people who will be called to witness to the Faith. St Paul speaks of it in his epistle, and our Lord called them “blessed.” Christians must be part of that remnant.

Divisions are tragic. Working towards unity means being faithful to Gods call in our lives.

St Paul reminds us of the two basic foundations of our religion is the key to heaven.

We all have those moments when we experience a heightened sense or awareness of Gods presence. We need to savor and rest in those moments.

Christmas is a reminder to us to be grateful to our ancestors in faith and to give our lives to Jesus

Jesus’ response to John the Baptist offers us hope and encouragement even in the midst of doubt and uncertainty.

There are five words that St. Paul uses that speaks about the hat Advent is all about.

Advent is about preparing ourselves for Christ’s “three” comings.

Jesus tells us that no matter how terrible things could get, there are still reasons to hope.
