In the spirit of today's feast day, where we celebrate a building--the Cathedral of Rome--my main point was that matter matters, and then I give a tour of St. Peter's to a handful of children.

We were supposed to have a guest preacher this week, but he couldn't make it. So, I read the homily he had prepared. The homily is on indulgences and was meant to promote our parish pilgrimage coming upon Sunday, November 2, 2025. We are having a 3pm Mass at the Shrine of Jesus the Divine Mercy, 33826 Beaconsfield St., Clinton Township, MI 48035. This Mass will indeed count toward your Sunday obligation and will qualify as an "indulgenced act."

I normally have three points, this Sunday I had four:

1. Safety
2. Salvation of Souls
3. Belief "In"
4. Protection from Everything?
