Jesus' Line to Mary:
- The New American Bible (the translation used at Mass): "Woman, how does your concern affect me?"
- The Revised Standard Version (generally a more literal translation): "O woman, what have you to do with me?"
- The New English Bible (Sheen's favorite translation): "Your concern, mother, is not mine."
- William Barclay's translation (famous Biblical scholar of the 1950's): "Lady, let me handle this in my own way."
- Arthur Pink's translation (wrote one of the best commentaries on the Gospel of John): "What to Me and thee."
- Fulton Sheen's translation: "What is to Me is to Thee."
- The actual Greek: "Τί ἐμοὶ καὶ σοί, γύναι." Literally: "What to Me and to thee, woman."
Three concrete ways to invoke Our Lady:
- Pray the Rosary
- Have a good statue of Our Lady
- Devotion to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception
