When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd...
Jesus was always full of passion and compassion. Throughout the Gospels, we see Jesus' full humanity on display. One of our favorite things about Jesus (and of course there are many!) is that Jesus operated out of love and grace in his healings. He would look at folks to see how he could help their situation.
We worship a God who is near to us, and he is also dear to us. He is not a distant God who folds his arms in frustration. No, what we see in Jesus is that God is love. He has compassion on us. As he healed throughout the Gospels, he was moved with passion and compassion.
We are going to look at different passages of Scripture where Jesus shows up and heals. In him, we experience healing physically, spiritually, emotionally, communally... there are so many ways that Christ wants to heal us. And we are excited to explore that together.
