The origin of the Doukhobors dates back to 17th & 18th century Russia. The name translates to "spirit wrestler". The Christian sect emphasizes on obeying the light from within and rejecting civil authority. Towards the end of the 19th, 7,500 Doukhobor people fled religious persecution in Russia and sought refuge in Canada. This group was led Peter Vasilevich Verigin.

Lacey Spears raised her son, Garnett, as a single mother, however this would prove to be especially difficult for her due to Garnett being born a very sick baby. For most of his life, Garnett was brought back and forth to several doctors who couldn't determine what it was that was causing him to be so ill. While he was being kept in the hospital, he would thrive, but the moment he was sent home, he'd wind up right back in the hospital shortly after. Lacey did everything she could to help her baby, at least that's what it seemed like from the outside.

Nichoas Barclay disappeared from San Antonio, Texas on June 13, 1994 when he was just thirteen years old. He was last seen playing basketball with his friends. Authorities believed that he had left home on his own accord, until they received a call in 1997 from someone claiming to be Nicholas.

On October 31, 2017, police surrounded the apartment building of Takahiro Shiraishi. Inside, they would discover the dismembered bodies of nine victims.
Shiraishi had taken to Twitter where he created two separate accounts for two very different personas, which he would use to lure others to his apartment.

In 1860, 4-year-old Saville Kent would disappear from the family home on Road Hill in England. He would eventually be found, brutally murdered, on the property. His 16-year-old sister, Constance, would be suspected of the crime, however it wouldn't be until five years later that the Kent family would get any answers as to what happened to Saville on the night of June 29, 1860.
