  • Faith Debate Multi-week Conversation: Part Three 10/13
One of your neighbors has written a book.  In it he exposes, through his personal experience and those of others, what he calls the unfathomable joy of tapping into God’s Omniscience.  This is Rohan Stewart’s first book.  “Renewing Your Mind Daily” shares a number of messages that he got through dreams, and he provides his case that the culture of God’s Kingdom mandates that its citizenry experience the supernatural realm.
    The panel:

  • Faith Debate To Fit or Not to Fit the Frederick Landscape, That’s the Question 9/22/2019
To Fit or Not to Fit the Frederick Landscape, That’s the Question
The final episode of a four-part series has arrived.  Two Christian men have talked about how and why they became pastors, how and why their churches came to be located where they are, and how and why their ministries have taken the shape that they have.
This show we talk about the challenges of cultural obstacles.  There’s a distinct ethnic vibe with African churches.  What’s it like attempting to reach people who view life from differing vantage points?  How do our neighbors receive these congregations?  Do different cultural backgrounds profoundly change the way ministry is done?  Clement let me begin by turning to you.  How do you feel that your church fits into the Frederick landscape, and is it even important to be concerned with how well it fits or doesn’t fit?
    The panel:
Troy Skinner.  930 WFMD Host/Moderator of The Faith Debate.
Dr. Neil Achaempong, Pastor of Covenant Family Chapel in Frederick County.
Clement Mbuyi, Pastor of International Tree of life Church in Frederick.

  • Faith Debate Challenges, Motivations, and Strategies for Church Plants 9/1/2019
Challenges, Motivations, and Strategies for Church Plants
International Tree of life Church in Frederick began in 2011 by reaching  people through a weekly prayer line.  In 2012 they held their first service with just seven members. The church has since grown to about four dozen members.
Covenant Family Chapel is also in Frederick County, but they weren’t always.  They were down close to DC, then in northern Montgomery County, then on the west end of Frederick, then in downtown Frederick (which is where they are now, but not for long).  Beginning next month they will be in Woodsboro.
This week’s program begins a conversation with the pastors of these churches about the progression of development for young church plants.
