This is a more personal episode than I normally do.  Last week I had one of the best weeks of my life.  Love came at me from many sides.  I got to do something that made me happier than anything else really can anymore.  I had support from people I've never met, and from people who owe me nothing, and to whom I owe more than I can ever hope to repay.

I chronicled my adventure on Facebook.  Many people followed it with delight.  I had more likes and loves last week than I have had in over a year.  I wrote well.  I pushed my depression out of the way.

This is the story of  one of the greatest weeks of my life.  It comes from wildly improbable situations.  If I wrote it as a piece of fiction, no one would believe it.  I would be pushing your suspension of disbelief to the breaking point.  And yet... this is all true.  It's a story of hope, and of dreams come true.  It's how I confirmed The Power of Love.  I think you can learn from this story, too.

Faye tells fascinating stories of her life, and she makes a strong case for Universal Basic Income.  She was one of the first listeners to the podcast, and she has a unique point of view.  It's great we finally had the privilege of a perspective different from the ones you're accustomed to hearing here.

This was the only time we've tried it with 3 people, and the internet got sketchy for a few seconds, so when you hear someone cutting in and out, that's not your phone.  It's our internet.

This is my experience with panhandling. I've been forced to be one, myself, in a different way, on several occasions.  

This is a difficult subject for many to discuss.  I'm going to let you make your own decisions, and I won't tell you what to believe here.

Wimpy plays Civilization live while he discusses the political mess that has become the United States with Fred.  

Fred and Wimpy discuss how frightened we should be about the new virus that seems to be threatening the world.  We ask why people seem so eager to conform to the standards set by others.  We discuss the idea that cultures need to adapt, and then to readapt to changing circumstances in order to survive.  Fred suggests a whole new economy.

Is this a story of the supernatural, or is it just a set of interesting hallucinations?  Horace is stalked by phantoms of his past in this eerie story of witchcraft, astral projection, and unrequited love or... perhaps none of those things.  

I'm an Idealist.  I'm sharing my ideas here, but most of them aren't my ideas.  They're Thomas Paine's ideas.  They Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's ideas.  They come from Milton Friedman and Stephen Hawking.  They have been synthesized by Andrew Yang.  These ideas have helped to shape mine.  

This is my effort to spread these ideas, and my Idealism, to enough people that, perhaps, we can make a difference.  I would like to make the world a bit more kind, a touch more compassionate, and substantially less afraid.  I have no delusions of grandeur that I will actually be able to change the world, but I am trying to do my small part in my small way.  My late father, a Professor of Philosophy of Education, once told me that Albert Camus said, "To believe you can change the world is insanity; failure to try is cowardice."  Sadly, he never told me WHERE Camus said that, and I've never been able to find the citation.  Nevertheless, I choose not to be a coward.  

I believe we all have a human right to the basics of survival.  I believe that when we have our survival needs met, our lives, and, as a consequence, our civilization, will improve.  I believe a sort of Utopia really is possible.  It may not be in my lifetime, but perhaps I can be here to see us take those first few steps to a world in which we work to better ourselves and all of mankind, instead of working merely to survive.
