After 3.5 years, Verity’s time has come to hang up her single heels as she joins the masses of couples. We wanted to record this episode as it is really important we stay true to the nature of the podcast and be honest with our listeners. We discuss how we are moving forward with it (don’t worry, the podcast is still happening!) and also delve into the importance of being open-minded and not having a type in attempts to finding the one. From the cliche of “when you stop looking you find them” to working on some self-love to make you complete rather than another person. Free and figuring it out is still our name and we explain the strength of this title moving forward and where Knights in shining armour feature in our lives. Share with your friends, single or not, and let’s get these conversations spreading!

Both Charelle and Verity have decided to embark on two very different life changes in the same week, so thought it important to discuss their slightly different paths. Do you organise like crazy when a big change is coming up or are you more of a go with the flow girl? Whether you are changing jobs, moving countries or going back to studying, it is interesting dealing with a big change as a single woman in your 30’s and where female friends replace the supporting role of traditional partners. We discuss how easy or difficult we find it to adapt to change, especially when it breaks a bit from the norm of the standard marriage and babies during this decade. Can you mentally prepare for something that is going to have a huge effect on your life and do you get better at it with experience and age? Take a listen and find out what big changes are going on in our lives!

This is the first time we record an episode in the same room! So we thought we would discuss the importance, beauty and evolution of female friendships in a modern world. Charelle and Verity only met once in person (through the online female entrepreneur space!) before deciding to launch the podcast and so we were inspired to talk about the many ways true friends can come into your life. As we evolve, and as our friends do, we sometimes need different people to fulfil different areas of our life and we discuss why you should be open to welcoming new friendships in from any channel! Are you in a crazy WhatsApp group that pings every 3 minutes or are you more of a one on one girl? We touch on how every place in the world holds amazing people but sometimes you just need to dig a little, or look in alternate places, to find them.

Inspired by an article in a Sunday supplement we discuss the 10 dating commandments of love coach Hayley Quinn. Do you follow your own rules of dating? This is a really juicy episode where we jump into all topics from no-makeup profile pictures to poor grammar and from being an adult when it comes to ghosting and the importance of staying safe.

After a flurry of DM’s after an Instagram story highlighting this topic we decided to delve into the subject of salutations. Verity questions if she is the worst feminist in the world by hating the word Ms whilst Charelle wonders if she would go back to Miss if she ever got divorced. Lot’s of women question why we have to prove our marital status with our title when men can hide behind theirs. We also step onto the path of taking your partner’s name in marriage also and the complications of surnames when it comes to the breakdown of marriages and family relationships.
Should we smash the patriarchy and just have the single option of Ms? Or can we live in a world where tradition can ride alongside the feminist movement?

Charelle recently went to a Bring a Single and Mingle event where each single woman that attended brought along a straight/bi, single male friend (or that’s what they were meant to do!).
Why do so many single women have no single male friends? Have the amount of male friends you have changed with age and demographics? Do you believe two straight, single friends of the opposite sex can just be friends? Is it so much easier when you are a gay woman? We discuss losing male friends after break-ups, making genuine male friends online, friend-zoning and being single and friends with married men.

As women in our 30’s are we just getting on with life and someone will simply fit into it? Or are we still planning marriages and babies waiting for someone to help you tick those off the list? We discuss the difference between goal setting and more visionary planning (are you a vision board user?) alongside intentions, manifestation and working with the moon (woowoo!). Does it frustrate you as a single woman that you cannot plan the big milestones or do you just go with the flow? We discuss the freedom and authority we have of our plans as single women, the importance of reflection

Today, 8th March 2019, we discuss the importance of IWD and this year's theme #balanceisbetter
We discuss the true meaning of feminism, what balance (and equality) looks like in the modern world and why we need to make space in both the workplace and the home for gender equality.
Do you feel, as a woman, you have to meet at least 90% of the job description before applying?
Do you think the #metoo movement was a tipping point in the next wave of feminism?
Is there a class issue when it comes to gender equality?
From the crisis around masculinity to challenging inappropriate behaviour, we discuss it all!

Inspired by a vlog by Stylist magazine, we look at the lost art of real life dating and the rise of Tinder marriages. When was the last time you approached a hottie in the street and asked if they were single? Will we ever re-embrace the old fashioned ways of chatting people up; before the consumption of alcohol? Charelle gets mansplained in the gym and Verity recalls the mountain of people she has asked in her past if they knew of any straight, single men. Do you remember traffic light parties? Have you ever chatted up a waiter? We cover it all!

Let's talk money, ladies! Most of us are rubbish at talking about the pennies and pounds (especially if you are British!) but it's so vital we start having these conversations so we can create a better relationship with money. From f*ck off funds to cancelling pension plans and from investment knowledge to getting into debt, we both open up and tell you our own money journeys. Are you a saver or a spender? Do you ignore money or know every penny you have? Were you educated as a woman around money or did it end up being a guessing game? Do you pay the single surcharge for hotel rooms? We discuss it all. Come join then drop us a message about your own story.
