Filling in for Matt is KSR's own Tyler Thompson, the Editor-In-Chief of KentuckySportsRadio.com, as Drew Franklin and Jay In Lyndon scramble to get a show together to avoid another week of Free Money silence this season.

A new episode of the Free Money Podcast is online now with football picks against the spread in both college and the NFL. Kentucky Sports Radio's Matt Jones and Drew Franklin got together with somewhat-professional handicapper Jay In Lyndon to give listeners their thoughts on some of the biggest games of Week 10 in college football and Week 9 in the NFL.

Jay also caught Drew's eye with this week's Louisville Restaurant of the Week and the guys got Crispy, Juicy, and Tender with some of the other non-football talk.

It's that time of the week again, you know, the time when the Free Money Podcast gives its "expert" picks for the upcoming slate of college football and NFL games. Matt Jones, Jay in Lyndon, and I have a new round of picks for Week 9 in college football and Week 8 in the NFL, plus the usual nonsense on the side.

Last week, Jay and I led the way with 9-7 records, while Matt missed the .500 mark by only two games. This week we all hope to go green as we break down what we see for the weekend in football while giving you all of the extra KSR banter.

The Free Money Podcast is back after a week away for Kentucky Sports Radio's trip to Athens for the Kentucky-Georgia game. We hope Free Money's listeners will excuse the absence.

But this week we are back for Week 8 in college football and Week 7 of the NFL. The college board is a little bland this week, but we still have picks from around the Southeastern Conference and other marquee games around the spot.

Plus, Jay In Lyndon went off script with a Lexington Restaurant of the Week known for its hearty breakfast, and there is a world where we get off topic on other matters.

Collectively, the Free Money Podcast went 25-23 last week, which, by my calculations, is exactly as the podcast title states: free money. Was it enough free money to buy that new boat you want? I hope not. If it was, you're gambling more than I feel comfortable being an indirect part of.

But 25-23 is a winning record and a profitable weekend for the pod. Jay In Lyndon carried an otherwise even record into the green:

Free Money returns this week with more picks against the spread for both college football and the NFL. Green is the goal again and I don't see why we can't keep it going with a board full of potential, although Jay is responsible for the games discussed on the podcast so he determines our portfolio.
