As Christians we automatically believe that we are Disciples of Jesus Christ. This is actually not true!
Jesus shows us in the Bible that not everyone will decide to follow Him. You may be thinking those who didn’t decide to follow Jesus were the sinners. That’s actually not true either!
In one particular story, while Jesus was at a banquet, Jesus responds to a statement made to Him by the Pharisees and teachers of the law.
Jesus showed them that you are either a disciple of a system (modern-day church denomination), a disciple of a man/woman (modern-day nondenominational churches/ministries built off a man/woman) or you are my disciple.
You have to ask yourself the question. If while Jesus was walking in the flesh on this earth, not everyone actually chose to follow Him, why would it be any different today when all we have is the invisible Jesus?
In this video we discuss the topic of being a Disciple of Jesus.... How do you know if you are a disciple of Jesus? And often what it looks like to respond to an obscure calling of —“Come, follow Me.”
