Freedom Church Gastonia - Sermon of the Week

Every week during this series we will be "drinking deeply from the fountain of salvation (Isaiah 12)" & celebrating the joy found in the greatest gift we've ever been given. In part 1 Pastor BJ Sullivan talks about SOZO salvation (Saved, Healed, & Delivered) & the wonderful fact that nothing can separate from the love of God.

Special guest, Pastor Al Buhrke, preaches a message about prospering God's way. 3 Biblical principles that will always lead to prosperity: Be a giver, speak the word, & have the right attitude.

To close out our After God’s Heart series Pastor BJ Sullivan delivers a message all about the benefits and what happens to the environment around your life when you live a lifestyle of worship. This sermon is a direct follow up to last weeks message, “Fear of God”.

Do you want to be free from anxiety & worry? We can learn how from the life of David. He directed all his “fear” to the Lord. He developed that “fear” by spending years of his life in a field worshiping and when you look to God like that you develop a deep sense of reverence that is the “fear of God”. When all your “fear” is directed towards God you will have no room left to fear anything or anyone else.

It’s FCG’s 34th church anniversary! This Sunday also marks Pastors BJ & Lisa Sullivan’s 10th anniversary as the senior pastors of FCG. In this anniversary message Pastor BJ delivers a message centered around 10 lessons he’s learned in 10 years as senior pastor. Each lesson applies to FCG as a church community but also to each individual life and family as well.

In week 3 of our After God’s Heart series Pastor Brittany Price brings a message about our true identity & true nature being found in Christ. We are not what we do, who the world says we are, or anything else other than who our father in Heaven says we are!

On Father’s Day 2026 Pastor BJ Sullivan delivers a message about seeking the heart of God as our father & what it means to seek him in a childlike manner.

In week 1 of this brand new series at FCG Pastor BJ Sullivan uses the differences between King Saul & King David to teach about what it means to be, "after God's heart" first. And When we do seek his heart (relationship) first and believe, the signs and wonders will follow!

To close out our Testify series Pastor BJ Sullivan teaches on righteousness through Jesus. Specifically how a righteous person should respond when facing something difficult using the living example of Sandy & Anthony’s testimony of Anthony being hit by a car on a Tuesday, being unresponsive for 21 hours, then going home completely well the following Friday! Three ways a righteous person responds - 1: Never get in a hurry 2: Respond first with the Word 3: Believe for something specific & picture it in your imagination.

On a Tuesday just 8 weeks before this service Anthony was hit by a car while skateboarding. He was unresponsive for 21 hours & on a breathing tube. Just three days later he was completely healed and leaving the hospital to go home!
