It is notable that we also consider this the 250th anniversary of the nation, because the US Constitution came several years later and is generally considered the law of the land today.And in almost every way imaginable, the US Constitution does serve as the framework for all modern legal practices. But the founders of our country envisioned government that truly was serving the people so governed - and that simply isn't true these days.
