Freedom Fellowship Canyon

This Sunday, we celebrated the different areas to serve in our church and the ways one or more can come together to serve the church, the community, and others. Whether it's in children's ministry, youth ministry, custodial help, pastoral care, worship, greeting those that walk in, and doing various things for the church and the community, there is a place for everyone.

Pastor Darren continues the service by taking us to God's word and encourages us in serving Jesus and how we can choose to lay down our rights, our life, and serve Him and His kingdom.

We ask that you pray and see where you feel led to serve. Reach out to Freedom Fellowship for more information on how you can serve your church.

The We Believe series continues in 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 and encourages us to "see" and to wait for Jesus' return.

Paul writes that, "we believe that Jesus died and rose again" 1 Thessalonians 4:14 and that is everything to us as Christians. Pastor Darren springs off this to discuss the timeline of End Times and the importance of the rapture as Paul wrote about.

How much do we want to be caught up with Jesus? He himself says, "according to the Lord's Word--the Lord himself will come" (v. 15-16) Meaning, Jesus is personally coming for us. WOW!

The anticipation of waiting for this glorious day is something to watch for, to keep our eyes on Jesus, and to be spread the Gospel so that others can be caught up with us.

Our We Believe series continues in 1 Thessalonians 4. Pastor Darren discusses the term "sanctification" and what it means to be holy in the eyes of the Father.

Pastor Darren teaches on the process of sanctification and what it looks like when God comes in and cleanses us to look like him after sin seeps into our life. Through the process of being sanctified, we are made to be in His image once again.

An encouraging message of hope, holiness, and how to be have faith and receive God's glory.

As we continue our We Believe series, Pastor Darren takes us to 1 Thessalonians chapter 3.

In this message, Pastor Darren encourages us on how to survive storms and trials:
1. Anchor yourself in truth of the Word.
2. Reach for Jesus in the storm.
3. Make the daily decision to anchor yourself to the truth of the Word and to reach out to Jesus.

We continue our We Believe series by picking up in 1 Thessalonians chapter 2.

We see Paul in action and God's Word come to life in today's message.

Pastor Darren discusses what scripture says about character and accusations that Paul faced and to be reminded that God is our witness.

We see that even in adversity, Paul rose above the opposers and the adversity he faced.
Our adversity is an opportunity to build and grow in character and to rise above in character.

There is so much meat to how God used Paul--listen to be encouraged by God's Word and learn how to rise above.

Pastor Darren kicks off a new series this week! We are diving into the book of 1 Thessalonians and in this message, we are encouraged by what it looks like to walk in faith, have joy in faith, and work on our faith.

"I have faith, but help my unbelief".

1 Thessalonians shows us the example of what a church and its people look like when their faith is so rooted in Jesus.

This week's message challenges our hearts with this: What are you walking with or burdened with that you need to rest in faith? What would it look like if you gave it to Jesus? His yoke is easy, His burden is light--rest, have faith, find freedom, and be encouraged that God cares more than enough for you that He is coming to save us from His wrath.

Pastor Chris closes out the mini-series, Value the Presence, with an encouraging word in 1 Samuel. He recaps the first sermon and reminds us of the setting.

He talks about how even though the Ark of the Covenant was taken, the glory did not depart because we serve an undefeated God. In the midst of the enemy's camp, the glory of God was still present.

He encourages us that even in our own suffering and defeats, they are not a blemish on God's record.

We serve a mighty God and there is nothing He cannot do. When we value the Presence of God, we will experience what He offers and experience His goodness.

Happy Father's Day to all you Freedom Dad's and fellow father's!

Pastor Chris takes us on a journey in 1 Samuel where we look at Eli and his 2 sons Hophni and Phinehas. The two boys were considered to be scoundrels and needing discipline in many areas, but especially in spiritual. It shows us why it's important to seek his presence in the now, not when it is too late.

Pastor Chris gives an incredible and encouraging message about the importance of leading our kids in faith, showing them how to worship, and why as adults, we need to set the path for each kid so that they would grow up to know Jesus, seek Him, and be rich in the presence of God, not the flesh seeking presence of the world.

We set the pace for kids--so the question is, what pace are YOU setting for the kids in your life?

As we complete the Holy Spirit series, Pastor Darren encourages us to dive in and discover the spiritual gifts that are so beautifully given to us. Throughout the series, we have seen how he fills us, immerses us, and lets us pour over into other people's cups to show the love of God through the Holy Spirit.

Today, he takes us to the scripture in 1 Corinthians 12 and 1 Corinthians 14 where it highlights the gifts that are given. It discusses the topic of eagerly desiring the Holy Spirit's gifts and to follow the way of love.

An encouragement from Pastor is to let the Holy Spirit melt us, mold us, fill us, and use us.
