Jean Watson joins Perry and Shawna to share a story that for us, ranks as one of the most compelling we’ve ever heard. Jean is a speaker, recording artist, classically trained violinist, radio host in Ireland, author and plays in the Kalamazoo Symphony, (whew)! Jean shares how her passion was to play in a world class symphony as a violinist. How that dream was sidetracked and she found herself in Kalamazoo, divorced, depressed, on food stamps, and suicidal with 4 children. In her desperation she cried out to Jesus. In our first conversation Jean tells us how Jesus responded to her immediately after she cried out; and a door that opened that was the first step to her being restored.
Then Jean shares how her landlord handed back her December rent money after hearing her sing and said: “Use this money to record an album!” Her music struck a chord (pun intended) and now is heard around the world. Next Jean shares about being invited to the UK and Ireland to share her music. She thought she was going as an entertainer. But Jesus showed her it was all about his plan to use her mightily. That was made clear when Jesus healed a deaf girl after one of her concerts there. And finally Jean shares the amazing story of her drug addicted son being delivered from addiction when Jesus showed up in his dream. You’ll be saying “Wow” after you hear this. And probably shedding some tears.
