Jo-Anne Brown is a Natural Therapist from Australia
She uses frequency based therapy in conjunction with Chinese Medicine principles
Joanne used to be a civil engineer
We learn how anger can be an important and useful emotion
We learn about the types of organs in Chinese Medicine and how to keep balance between these systems
    EPISODE DETAILS:
Bryce talks to the health and energetic healer Jo-Anna Brown
She is a natural therapist in Queensland Australia
She uses frequency based therapy in conjunction with Chinese medicine principles and also bio-resonance therapy.
This involves healing energy blocks in the body
In her intuitive sessions she encourages clients to let go of toxins with their energetic systems
Jo-Anna has an engineering background so sees the scientific and intuitive worlds on the same continuum rather than the opposite.
She was a skeptic before she was a believer; She was studying civil engineering and had chronic fatigue and diarrhea, migraines for 3 days straight, panic attacks every day
This affected the way she could earn money and she needed answers
She started bio-resonance therapy sessions and started to get better despite her skepticism.
Our health is affected by our genetics but we also have to take responsibility because our health can be affected by food and what we’re exposed to.
Anger can be a positive emotion as long as it doesn’t fester; it should be something to work through.
Emotions can alert us to imbalances in the body - in Chinese medicine there’s a 5 element theory 5 groups of organs, wood, water, metal, fire and earth.
Wood organs are the liver and gallbladder and anger sits in the liver, so if you get angry frequently then your liver needs support.
An acidic diet has negative effects like yeast infections, ulcers, moody with sugar spikes.
You can counteract this by eating all the veggies of different colors
Hormonal imbalances are an issue in the body but they can be hard to find so you need to figure out it’s a problem to start with, and then you can help them with taking herbal supplements.

  • FHR #013: From $0 to 1/4 Billion in 10 years using the Power of Syndication with Reed Goossens
IN THIS EPISODE BRYCE & REED COVER:
This episode is an interview with Reed Goossens of Wildhorn Capital
Reed syndicates real estate deals across the US
How to get started in real estate investing and getting a mentor
How to structure large multi family syndication deals
    EPISODE DETAILS:
In 2012 Reed quit his job and moved across world
He moved to chase his dream. He went from limited funds, no experience, low credit to owning his own investing firm Wildhorn Capital
Reed syndicates multifamily deals across US
He’s also a podcast host and author.
Syndication is the marriage of business owner and investor
It’s a way of raising money from other people - win win - investors get to take part passively and investor gets to fund their business with other people's money
Reed uses an analogy of hiring a plane; you can’t do it alone so you sell seats and then you can hire the place.
When starting his investing journey Scott Reese his friend told him about closing on a 70 unit deal by pooling friends and family money. This was a mind changing moment
Scott got started by getting a mentor which helped get him credibility and show him the ropes
Reed did the same and joined him to get credibility and confidence
Then after 2-3 years he went from small deals to bigger deals - building investor database through his podcast
His first big 250 unit deal he was just a small part of this deal - mixing tier skill sets and sharing roles and responsibilities - this was a massive leap after last flip
Syndication in commercial real estate - you can’t do it all yourself, have a good team around you with varied skill set
Structure large deals with limited partners - if you take away their voting rights then the SEC have to agree the deal to make sure you’re not hoodwinking anyone and that everyone has a say in the deal
A typical minimum investment is 50k cash in his deals - he offers preferred returns between 6-8% depending on the deal, this means you’re sitting in a capital stack above the general partnership.
Deals are 5-7 year holds and get paid our quarterly
70-30 arrangement where 70% is owned by investors
Learning the fundamentals of syndication; How long is a piece of string, if you’re a quick learner then maybe 6 months but could be longer.
Common mistake he often sees is people who get ahead of themselves and try to replace themselves in their business before the revenue can support it

  • FHR #012: Empower Yourself & Your Health by Raising Your Frequency with Gina Nicole Ballard
IN THIS EPISODE BRYCE & GINA COVER:
The guest on today's show is Gina Nicola Ballard
Gina is an intuitive mentor, feng shui practitioner, certified angel card reader, terra am reiki practitioner and certified intuitive counselor
We learn that all things have a frequency
We cover how to move around in life to best raise your own personal frequency
    EPISODE DETAILS:
Gina’s passion is to witness others empowering themselves by raising their frequency so they can activate their natural abilities
Gina guides empaths to ignite their intuition and build heart based businesses
She focuses on her personal holy trinity; mind, body and home
A frequency is the rate of movement of something, and everything moves; objects, thoughts, clothes, energy etc
The rate and how it moves is the frequency and we need to think about how this affects you
Law of vibration comes first, before the law of attraction
This is because you’ve got to think about yourself first - the holy trinity and your connection - high frequency is all three.
    Gina’s three prong approach to working with someone;
She starts with working on emotions and affirmations
She then focuses on a healthy body and overhauling food and the kitchen
Then she moves to the home and de-clutters to raise the vibration across the whole house.
Remove the low vibration stuff that doesn’t serve you - complaining and low vibration food
The higher your vibe the smaller your tribe - drop the people who don’t serve your frequency
    Fung Shui
The first step to a happy home is to de-clutter - everywhere, phone, computer, wallet etc
You can find the heart of your home by placing an imaginary ticktacktoe over the map of your house and looking for the central square.
Energy finds you from the front door - treat the heart of your home like you would your actual heart with good air and light, essential oils
Each section of the grid is a different part of your life so pay attention to each section, bottom center is career.
Also pay attention to the front door - don’t put anything behind it, needs to open fully
Check your house address numbers - are they visible - if people can’t find you then energy can’t find you
The third area important is the stove which represents prosperity; don’t stand with your back to your kitchen door, or place a reflective surface in front of it.
Place your bed in a power position, not in line with the door but can see the door, not under a window or fan.
Don’t keep a mattress from an old partner or old relationship as it stops the new energy coming in
For better food frequency take the rule that the higher from the ground the higher the frequency.

This episode is an interview with the NFA coach Dr Amanda Barrientez
What it takes to improve your mindset to succeed
How to transform your self doubt into confidence
Amanda’s story to becoming the coach she is today
    EPISODE DETAILS:
Mindset takes up 80% of what we need to succeed so you need to get head right first
Dr Amanda Barrientez is a mindset coach
She’s an NFA coach who helps entrepreneurs build thriving businesses
Amanda has experienced an affair, divorce, relationship collapse and being a single mum before she had her breakdown moment and realized her life needed to change.
She Got free resources through podcasts etc and then saved money for coaching which transformed self doubt into financial reality
She helps business owners overcome their blockers
Amanda experienced bad relationship models when she was growing up so she married young and had kids at 20 and dropped out of college.
Her ex husband was an entrepreneur but not good at business and lost money
She went to do undergrad and realized her relationship wasn’t working and had an affair
When the next relationship fell apart she worried about being homeless and said to herself ‘this is not the reality i want’
She realized I have to shift myself; i am the common denominator here.
Money and relationships were a skill that she hadn’t learned and she realized she wanted to be a coach and teach others about this
She felt divinely directed towards being a coach
It was a three year process to shift her mindset
This means shifting unconscious belief systems - if you’re split inside you have a competing commitment you’re going to be stuck so you have to break through this barrier
In doing this she shifted her friend group, environment and learning materials.
She started a saving account which she called her money magnet account and put away 10% each month
The word ‘decision’ means ‘cut off’ so when you make a decision everything that doesn’t align just falls away
Your outer world is a reflection of inner world - if you don’t like what you’re getting then look within.
Amanda’s idea of the ultimate freedom lifestyle is the choice to wake up everyday and do work what you want to do - whether that's 15 hours or 5
Design your life because you have the freedom to do so and make sure it’s aligning with your values
Rituals that help Amanda; exercise, meditate daily, journal 4-5 days a week to get clarity each day on what she’s doing

  • FHR #010 - Conservative Recession Investing with Jeremy Roll
IN THIS EPISODE BRYCE & JEREMY COVER:
The guest on today's show is Jeremy Roll
Jeremy is the founder of the Roll Investment Group and has been a real estate and business investor for 18 years.
    Jeremy is a conservative investor
Jeremy also founded the non-profit ‘For Investors By Investors’ meetup group
    EPISODE DETAILS:
Jeremy and Bryce talk about how to conservatively approach investments in today's social and economic landscape
Jeremy also focuses on how to avoid costly mistakes and maximize profits
He left the corporate world in 2007 to be full time passive cash flow investor
He manages a group of over 1000 investors in the US and Canada to seek passive managed cash flow investment in RE and business.
For Investors By Investors (FIBI) has the goal of networking and learning from other investors. It’s the largest group of public investor meetings in California.
Jeremy is originally from Montreal and got a MBA from Wharton school
Passive investing is about trading control for diversification; you leverage someone elses time and credit but give up control.
When Jeremy started he didn’t have time to be active so he went down passive route - not really on purpose but out of necessity
Jeremy advises that you need to be careful which route you choose to go down. You can get stuck down one direction after a couple of deals so make sure the path matches your personality.
An accredited investor is an SEC term to show whether you qualify based on net worth or income
Income qualification means that - if you file your taxes single - you have to have made at least 200K in the past 2 years and make the same this year. Or if joint 300K.
Net worth qualification means that you have $1million or more exclusive of the value of your home.
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket; you can still diversify if not accredited but split money and put it in different places.
Investing around Covid is a matter of patience, wait for the prices to fall and the panic to recede and then come in.
In Japan the debt to GDP ratio is off the charts - 40-50% of their budget goes to paying interest on the debt and the long term gap growth is predicted at 0-1%. They can’t properly grow the economy, and we’re looking at the same thing happening in the US.
In the recent crash oil went negative - people were paying customers to take it off their hands because they couldn’t store it.
This caused some US oil suppliers to turn off their pumps which are really tricky with the deep wells.
This could cause an over correction in the oil price later on - while the pumps are off we’re not putting any oil in storage so when demand goes up again there isn’t going to be much supply. This means that costs could go up higher than pre-crash.
As an investor, always do background checks - and every time you invest with someone check them too.
No matter how many times you’ve invested with them - things change.
A great time to invest is when people are scared in something - e.g. oil right now
Investing passively is challenging - got to do lots of networking to find opportunities.
Tips for working with others; always ask when their best time for emails is, then you can schedule emails and get a response when you need it.
Slow and steady wins the race, it’s not an overnight thing.

Today Satyen is most thankful for him body and health to be of service to unity
The meaning of his Academy is due to; sage is a brave man, warrior is strong mind
A warrior is the one willing to look vulnerably at self and lives by principle of truth
However, you need wisdom to balance out the warrior and be connected to spirit
Satyen teaches his pupils to tap into this balance and turn the noise down and do this with meditation and tune into nature
Try to cut through the hype - this means the noise around us - and develop discernment and decision making - stay away from the whirlpool trying to suck you down
Ask yourself ‘what must i do today to live, love and die completely without regret’ - This is the question Satyen asks himself all the time so he doesn’t become lazy each day
His daily rituals include aligning himself with the question above, yoga, exercise and reading
Satyen also discusses harnessing the power of being a warrior; much of our warrior energy has atrophied which means that what also gets weaker is resolve, courage, facing adversity and dealing with fear.
This means you need to cultivate the warrior of the heart - the warrior who wants to lift up and build bridges.
Western practicality means making all the other spiritual stuff grounded; make it exist on Earth.
    Devotion awakens; Polarity excites.
His most exciting 2020 work is that he’s part of an organisation called Undercurrent which works to re-script capitalism.
Satyen is also the Chairman of New Gaia Green Tech

Rev Wolak is thankful today because he’s getting to share the message of self love around the world
He spent 32 years as entrepreneur and business owner and then changed tack
Brought up by catholic parents and aged 15 went to seminary but didn’t get invited back
He aimed for and got the full American dream- job, kids, wife, country club etc - still felt something was missing.
At 54 left this world and got a masters in Consciousness Studies and became an assistant minister - after doing this for a while he decided that was too small and didn’t want to be a support person.
There is a big difference between being alone and lonely - when you’re lonely you’re trying to find things to fill the gap inside that cannot be filled
We all live and die alone - this can’t be changed so you need to realize that you’re enough - who are you judging yourself against?
Most people's beliefs are unconscious; they’re just bought into what parents/society etc also believe.
Everything is spiritual because this is the experience of oneness and connection through many different ways - meditation, walking in nature etc
Spirituality is the realization that we’re greater than the human body - something else there, a soul.
To accept yourself you need to come out of judgement; if you’re in judgement about anything then love can’t exist
Love languages; Lee’s are quality time, touch and acts of service and his wife’s are the same but in the reverse order
Lee starts each morning with meditation and then visualizing the day, followed by reading and walking the dog
Start to do visualization with 5 mins each day and then build up.
Start to practice meditation by sitting in a chair with your feet touching the ground, back straight, eyes closed, attention focused. Use the Sanskrit mantra word ‘Shreem’ to focus the mind.
Start with 5 mins and work up to 20 mins twice a day.

  • FHR #007 - Increase Profits, Maintain Balance and Harmony with Rocky Lalvani
IN THIS EPISODE BRYCE & ROCKY COVER:
This is an interview with Rocky Lalvani of Profit Comes First
We learn about putting profit first and expanding the margins of your business
Rocky also goes through the different accounting sheets to track this success
Finally, Rocky goes through his favourite books that have inspired him on his journey.
    EPISODE DETAILS:
The guest in this episode is Rocky Lalvani of Profit Comes First
Rocky helps small business owners put profit first in their business.
Everyone knows the business equation of sales - expenses = profit but with this paradigm profit comes last.
Rocky is building a new paradigm to make the equation sales - profit = expenses
Rocky is the son of first generation immigrants to the US and he watched them work hard and build wealth and this propelled him to succeed.
By leaving profit to last you’ll live paycheck to paycheck and struggle to build savings; it doesn’t matter how big your business is.
Parkinson’s law states that you will use up the resources that are given to you, e.g. if you’re given 3 weeks to do something you’ll use the full 3 weeks. It’s the same in business; if you give people some money they’ll use it all, so give less and get creative on a smaller budget.
if you don’t need to spend on your business - don’t - this is a mindset change.
One of the biggest mistakes Rocky made was just not starting. He knew what he was doing in theory but didn’t buy his first investment property till he was 45.
A balance sheet is great at giving you a quick view to see what are my assets and liabilities - owe vs own. It’s great for looking at a few times a year like a scorecard to see the growth of your net worth.
Profit and loss sheets allow you see see where the profit is and where you should put more investment.
Rocky recommends that everyone keeps a bare minimum 90 days savings just in case something goes wrong.
This can be a tricky thing for some people to do because these savings don’t grow. It’s important to remember that's not what they’re designed for - they’re just to keep you safe in times of turbulence
You do need to spend money to make money - spend on the education and get a coach

  • FHR #006 - Freedom Principle 5 of 5: Having Fun Doing What You Love Most
    IN THIS EPISODE BRYCE COVERS:
This is the final point in Bryce’s 5 freedom principles.
Having fun is just as important as work.
Make time for having fun and prioritise it like you would anything else.
Find out what you love doing so that you can include it in your yearly goals.
What’s coming up in the rest of the podcast series.
    EPISODE DETAILS:
This episode is all about having fun and doing what you love.
In the US people need more help here with letting go and having fun - their drive tends to be towards working rather than fun.
The key to freedom is to do the things you want to do.
When Bryce began working on his freedom journey he started by focussing on the financial side, but needed to spread across all 5 points as covered in episodes 2-6.
When Bryce talks about his travelling to other people and explains that he’s gone to 60 countries, travelled non-stop for 18 months etc most people are interested and have fairly normal responses but when talking to Americans they have a very different answer.
They always ask the same questions: ‘How is that possible?” or “How can you do that and not work?”
The first question people ask when you meet them in the US is ‘what do you do’, and this confused Bryce because he thought it meant what do you do as a hobby, but it actually means ‘what do you do for work’.
Having fun needs to be more of a priority rather than an added extra.
Bryce does surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, triathlons, athletics, being in nature, cold plunging, swimming, sports, travel.
One recommendation is if you have something you want to do - travel, sports, a museum visit - then put it in your calendar.
This will make it more ‘real’ and focus your mind to plan and save to make it happen.
Be open minded and give things a shot - not everything will be for you but it’s worth trying everything to find out.
Track what's important to you so that you know what you enjoy and what to build into your goals.

  • FHR #005 - Freedom Principle 4 of 5: Spirituality
    IN THIS EPISODE BRYCE COVERS:
The difference between spirituality and religion
Why we all need spirituality, especially in troubled times
Using a vision board and visualization to harness your future and goals
Staying grounded spiritually gives us the ability to remain as the calm eye of the storm amidst chaos
    EPISODE DETAILS:
Bryce starts by clearing up the difference between religion and spirituality; on Freedom Hack Radio Bryce is focusing on spirituality, not religion.
Religion can harness the greatness of life but has also been known to cause judgement and harm people
Spirituality is more inclusive and doesn’t include disliking people for having different beliefs
Bryce doesn’t want to discriminate or take anyone out of the discussion so on this podcast, god and the universe may be used interchangeably. We can use the same language but have your own interpretation.
On this spiritual journey we need to be challenged in order to grow, especially when going through chaotic times.
The more we’re spiritually grounded, the better decisions we’ll make during this chaos.
Bryce’s journey is definitely a journey towards spirituality and enlightenment
We all have room to grow on our personal journeys toward enlightenment.
Bryce recommends, The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. It’s in his top two books he recommends to people and highly relevant to this episode's topic.
